ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Funny how we get back in the CL and the spending stops... a leopard (KSE) never changes its spots.
Rate Partey or not (I'm on the fence), him leaving means we need another midfielder after Zubi, Berta better get a move on!.

The Portuguese league is ranked the eight best in Europe . The top five of France, Spain, Italy, Germany and England along with the Belgian league and the English Championship are rated higher. To spend a fortune on a player from that league , despite his scoring record there , would be a massive gamble.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 8:38 pmViktor Gyokeres is very angry at Sporting for breaking the promise they made to him.
A meeting was arranged but Gyokeres refused to attend.
Arsenal do not intend to increase their first offer.
@Record_Portugal
Tin hat on , I would rather spend 50% off his proposed fee on a proven Premier League striker like Ollie Watkins. If Gyokeres comes and is a success it would be brilliant, however the standard he is scoring against has to be a factor.

IF zubimendi signs, we will have him, rice, merino and possibly lewis-skelly that can play centre midfield - why waste money signing another centre midfielder ?

Looking at the start of the season that we've been handed, we're going to need to get any transfer business done soon. We really can't afford to be fucking about in late July and early August haggling over a few quid here and there. I'm not that confident but perhaps looking at those first six games, might just prompt some fucking action in the transfer market. Having said that, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us have Havertz and Merino up front when we play the dipper at the end of August.

^^^This In Spades^^^ Yup! Any Players we do eventually sign need to hit the ground running... Unlike the previous 2 seasons when those players we have managed to sign are either prone to injury or illness!Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 8:38 amLooking at the start of the season that we've been handed, we're going to need to get any transfer business done soon. It takes two parties to agree a sale , if Leipzig are holding out for a better deal , that's their right. We might want Sesko and he may well want us but until Leipzig agree it will not happen.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 9:28 amSo All those weeks of haggling and fannying about just might have born fruit!?mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 7:24 amBreaking News - Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Benjamin Sesko

If it's confirmed on .com , we can voice our opinions . As far as I am concerned until it's confirmed it hasn't happened.Red Army 2 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 11:45 amIMO not the man we need....time will tellA11M11 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 11:35 amIt takes two parties to agree a sale , if Leipzig are holding out for a better deal , that's their right. Of course it does, but even so all we have heard is rumour after rumour after rumour and as yet No-One seems any closer to signing. Yet the ScouseFilth, Manure and Cheaty have already wrapped up deals for the players they wanted.A11M11 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 11:35 amIt takes two parties to agree a sale , if Leipzig are holding out for a better deal , that's their right. The report I read said they had reached an agreement “but were still to agree a transfer fee”. Makes me wonder what the fück they actually agreed on!mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 7:24 amBreaking News - Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Benjamin Sesko
