Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah but people were also hyping Jack and look what happened.

I like Bartley, bar his blip of playing for Rangers of course.

Just spoken to a guy who works for Match Magazine (I haven't read this for 20+ years so don't know if it's still a kids publication or not)

He reckons we are red hot favourites to sign Barton, that we are almost certainly going to sign Jagielka and will sign a midfielder IF Fabregas leaves. Apparently Nasri is staying

After what his agent said, I'm pretty sure Barton is on his way.

Blimey. I guess we'll have to wait and see. If the news is anything to go by, Newcastle want him out ASAP so we could see this sorted pretty quickly.

Thing thats rather refreshing with Barton is he doesn't actually want to leave, he's passionate abotu Newcastle. Be nice to see in an Arsenal shirt.

Im not having a dig but Really????? Barton is low life scum bag *word censored* but forgetting that, he is not good enough to play for Arsenal. It seems like a last throw of the dice signing like when George Graham signed Hartson, Kiwomya and Helder all of whom were not goo enough for the club

here here. if we were talking about this 2 years ago the entire notion would have been laughed at andyou would have been called a muppet or somrthing nice like that.

Just shows you how bad things are when we are salavating over this little shits arrival.

Funny though, to be a fly on the wall when he rocks up to his first days training, ha ha ha. See how long our "no tackling" rule in training lasted.

I think thats what piresistable was trying to say, and I agree.
Fergie, despite winning four league titles, three league cups and the champions league in the last six years, bought in players over a month ago, they're prepped up, settled in, ready to go and all know their job.

Whereas we're a fucking mess. Our captain hasn't appeared all pre-season, one of the best players wants away, we can't get rid of the dross AND we have a cl qualifier coming up.

If you honestly believe 'people got irked at the result' over the weekend you really have no idea what's going on at our club.
You make some fair points but i think a few of you just have vendetta aganst the mnager and on that basis there are some on here who actually want arsenal to fail just so they can do the 'i told you so' shit.
Lets get it correct - we conceed against NY when Bartley did a own goal - They didnt fucking socre. NY played in their own half for God knows how long and when Wenger took off the majority of the 1st team you could sense a bit of dread coming.

Dont forget pre season is about players who are or are not going cut the mustard - let's wait and see what happens in the transfer market before we throw our cocks out.

NO NO NO NO

NOT BARTON PLEEEAAASSSE

I will not go to one game at the grove next year if that piece of shit comes. I despise the man. Everyone saying he's got fight, that is bollox, he's just a nasty no good piece of work. Could you really cheer when the announcer says his name, or sing a song for him. Such a vile man. Please don't be true, he's not even that good as well, seriously have I been watching the same player all year??? Nolan was better for them!

His brother did this to an Arsenal fan as well by the way:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/mers ... 477156.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/mers ... 177772.stm

Read the second one, his parents even wanted mourners to wear footie shirts at the funeral. Wonder how his family would feel if he signed.

Barton family full of cnuts! Hate the man and all he stands for. PLEASE DON'T SIGN HIM ARSENE!!!

What does what his brother did have to do with any fucking thing? Barton appealed for him to give himself up IIRC at the time.

We'ld hardly be signing Peter Sutcliffe. If you wont go because we sign someone you don't like then you need your head checked.

I also don't see what it's got to do with him. If my brother did something awful and I got sacked from my job I'd be pretty fucked off, no?
