As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
"He is our Alex Ferguson" Don't compare their win ratio, compare what THEY HAVE WON!! Wengers smoke and mirrors act won't look so great then. How the hell did all these people allow themselves to be so duped. AND WHY do the interviewers ALWAYS FAIL to ask the right questions???
Do you think it acceptable to allow spurs & Leicester to finish above us, should Giroud be leading the line on his own, does Walcott deserve 140k per week???? I could think of 100.....
Walcott on £110 grand a week, but he's still shite
Loving the T-shirt !! This is why the 'toxic atmosphere' that has supposedly been at the bowl lately will never gain momentum, as for every dissatisfied punter there's a ringpiece like this !

140
The Gunners have given the England international an estimated £140,000 a week (£7.3m a year) deal, keeping him at the club until he turns 30 and bringing his pay packet into line with its biggest earners, Sanchez and Ozil.
He is in joint 7th place as the leagues best paid player. Let that sink in
When these dim wits say 'we will end up like Man United', it implies we used to share a podium with them. Although we never did. From 2006 until Ferguson retired United won the league 5 times in 9 seasons - and the CL, and made two other finals.
Its another false dawn being spread to make Wenger look better than he is. For instance, before Ferguson retired, I remember the theory how Wenger had to remain to keep us in the top 4, because without CL revenue we wouldn't be able to make our stadium repayments and we could go bankrupt. We needed Wenger's capacity to make the top 4 on a budget (another lie), because 'no other manager could have kept us in the top 4' (another lie), so keeping Wenger was essential for potentially avoiding 'doing a Leeds'. That was the old argument about insisting Wenger spend more money, the Wenger disciples would counter, 'and what, do a Leeds?'.
These boogeyman scenario's are in long supply. Although Arsenal fans are beginning to wise and grow up, and like little children growing into adulthood - they grow out of believing in ghost stories. Because the 'we need to keep Wenger at all costs....or else', is just a boogeyman story designed to scare us into blind obedience.

as much as i am optimistic about the emergence of iwobi and elneny, they will be enforcing wenger's belief that signings aren't needed. what we need the board to step in and force his hand again like with ozil and sanchez.

What a Pullonker - he avoids any half decent questions - Of which there are too few...The guy with the mic is also a Plonker.
With delusional fools like this - Wenger will never be usurped from his position of reign unless - Everyone who follows Arsenal who also want him gone get off their arse and stand outside the Bowl with banners and call fro him to be gone week after week...it's the only way he might be removed.

Mark my words.
Then I hope someone asks him why we didn't win it then.
"You ask me why did we not win the league. Why do you not ask that of the manager of Manchester City? Of Chelsea, of Manchester United? There were 19 teams who did not win the league but you ask only me. We beat the champions twice. Nobody else can say that."

That's not good enough though. We were top of the league in January, we were in a position to win it, the others, especially Chelsea were nowhere near the top.

I know you're not saying that and I know he will say that. but it drives me nuts.
Who is going to show Wenger the door at Arsenal? The fans? It's the only way because it certainly won't be the board. Wenger's certainly not going quit.
"People said he should have quit after they won the FA Cup but any bloke on £8m a year is not going to suddenly say, 'right I don't want to do it anymore.'
"I don't think he will go. The only way it could have happened is if they'd have dropped out of the top four and finished fifth. A couple of weeks ago that looked a possibility but that's not going to happen now.
"The only way there can be a change is the fans. I know there's a split. That split is increasing. It was about 50:50 and now maybe 60, maybe 70 per cent of Arsenal fans want him (to leave) but I do think they need a change."
Just what Ive been saying for years now. It'll ultimately be the fans who get rid of him by protests, which the media will pick up and run with. Wenger cant deal with sustained, meaningful criticism.
