As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
An AKB on Twitter said that we'd done our part by beating Leicester twice, and that it's the rest of the league that has let us down by not managing to get more wins against them. How can you argue against that level of idiocy?
In response to those calling for Wenger out today, AKB's said that there were 19 teams finishing below Leicester, not just us, and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit that Leicester (LEICESTER!!!) were simply the better side this season.

Deluded wankers.
Pretty much exactly what my above Wenger quote prediction was.
The bloke has an answer for everything - either you swallow it or you don't. At the end of the day it's what happens on the pitch that matters - the shit managers chat on the side either just exacerbates things or is forgiven depending on how things are going.
Wahey. 1500 pages and what has changed from Page 1 ??
Apart from yet more collapses, we're exactly where we were in 2008 - stuck with an arrogant, out of date old has-been that doesn't realise his time is up.
The players have changed, the Board has changed but the results haven't changed and neither has the manager. Can anyone spot the link????

Of course this argument ignores the fact that taking a maximum 6 points from Leicester means that for them to have an 11 point lead over us they have picked up 17 more points in their other games than Arsenal have (albeit having play a game more).
If however this is a reasonable argument, then why was tit not legitimate in past seasons? For instance the financially doped clubs (the ones we were told we couldn't possibly compete against) were actually only influence 4 of our results every season. There was nothing Chelsea or Man City could do about our other 34 games against opposition with similar or less resources. So whats the excuse not to challenge?
Wenger is more loathsome than the most odious of politicians and his followers are equally despicable.
FFS! 1500 Pages and the cunnt still hasn't fuckked off...
Look wenger you camel toe just fuckk the fuckk off so we can close this thread, have our club run by someone who isn't a basket case and have Real Hope for success once more.
'Mentally pure' is the latest Wenger quote. He reckons because the team has put the poor run of form behind them, that it vindicates the teams mental strength.
This just isnt professional football. All professional teams in a title run in, need to appreciate you cant go a sustained period of games without winning. We did, Leicester didnt - 11 points gap.
This is amateur talk. We finally kick our poor form, and want credit???????? And out poor form is not behind us, we sit 11 points behind as a consequence of the poor form - so there is a lasting effect.
We are the least professional team in the league. Were not a serious team who appreciates what it takes to be successful.
Who knows Chris's Rock's joke about African American males boasting about never having been to jail, quipping: "your not supposed to go to jail!!'. Its a joke on how some people are ignorant to their own low expectations and limitations, and would thus boast about something that should be a formality - such as never going to jail.
Arsene Wenger boasts about putting a horror run behind him, I could say "your not supposed to lose so many games in the first place". Arsene Wenger is clearly ignorant to his own limitations and low expectations of himself. That he is boasting about something that should never have happened. He shouldnt be boasting about ending the horror run - because any top manager would never have overseen it in the first place.

He really is in a world of his own...Mentally pure FFS ......
I know I have banged on about this before, but again we have a player, this time its Gabriel (yes, that same Gabriel who recently seemed to be responsible for a goal, every time he played) talking to the press.
We have beaten a very poor Everton team, and a bunch of chancers from Watford, and this is enough for Gabriel to call it a title charge.
By comparison I have not heard so much as a half sentence from any Leicester players in the national press, they dont go gabbling to reporters, even though they have a lot more to brag about than we do.
They just get on with it, and I have no doubt once they cross the title line they will give a few interviews and soundbites, when they have something substantial to talk about.
I fully expect a new half naked selfie to emit from the Boleyn Ground dressing room if we manage a 3rd straight win.
Good point - you don't see Huth, Vardy, Drinkwater etc coming out constantly declaring what they do and don't believe. Even the Spurs players haven't been mouthing off.
It's fucking embarrassing how often our lot come out and declare how mentally strong and generally fantastic we are - especially given that it's clearly not the case.
The criticism this season will really stick in his craw though. He knows that Leicester winning the title seriously brings his ability into dispute among even his defenders on the press in the way that another Chelsea/City title/Barcelona mauling does not. Any notion that he had that the majority of fans think he's doing sterling work, even including the ultra fair weather brigade, has also likely gone. I think we could end up trailing Leicester by just two or three points by the end of the campaign, with the Foxes taking their foot off the gas in the last game or two with the league already sewn up, which he will paint as some kind of near miraculous achievement of will power akin to Leicester's title victory in an spurious bid to dress this all up as "success". But come what may its probably going to get more and more uncomfortable for him from here on.
