CHELSEA AWAY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I suspect AW pep talk before games is about encouraging as many passes and flicks as possible. Defence, finishing or winning can't get a mention.

A centre-forward is the major (though the not only) difference between the two sides.

We sold one centre-forward with physical presence (rightly so, the *word censored* had to go). Along with the sale of Toure we got £35m+.

RVP's season comes to an end well before the January transfer window.

The club decide to do nothing pinning their hopes in Nicklas Bendtner; a limited striker who at least has the physical presence required in critical games like United at home and today.

Then Wenger decides not to start him in either game.......

In both games we have to attack the best two teams in the country with a bunch of midgets.

Not good enough.

Somebody at Arsenal should be held accountable with their job over this episode. You cannot bleat smugly about prudent financial management & financial doping while the teams you implicitly attack with those comments batter you time and time again on the pitch, all because you refuse to buy ONE player that you URGENTLY require with all the time and money you need.

i don't think cesc should be captain for these kind of games, it gives him an extra thing to think about when a defender should be captain and sorting out everyone while cesc just needs to be doing his thing.

Fabregas's best game this season? 20min vs Aston Villa and he didn't have the arm band on..

5 Live have mentioned Walcott about 4 times in 45 minutes, one of those being when he was injured.

How the fcuk can clichy be blamed for the 1st goal ? :? Song was off in one of his daydream moments and wasnt even watching the ball or dogbreath when he scored  Top quality DM's do not lose concentration like that after 7 fcuking minutes :x

Without wishing to be overly defending clichy but I thought, at first viewing, that it was vermaelen who left dogbreath and his own for the 2nd goal cos he was initially covering him in the left back position while clichy was central :? As I said I didnt see any replay yet so I might be wrong but if I am not wrong then TV5 should be blamed not clichy.

Every fcuking time our wonderboy/one trick pony/speedster ( ) plays against cuntly cole he literally shits himself  He doesnt know what to do with the ball, falls asleep when they have possession and cannot tackle to save his fcuking life

When I saw dogbreaths 2nd goal I found it amusing that average al's first reaction was to protect his face as if it was a thing of beauty he was protecting

To be fair he did stop Cuntley scoring (for now) which I applauded. But what the fuck can he do against a massive Spartak defence?

That 15 min HT break was the closest we've come to Chelsea.
