THE PROJOE TOTALLY POINTLESS TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger says #Arsenal 'have shown strong character this season but conceded too many goals to win the championship. Congrats to #Chelsea'

Pushed #Arsenal boss Wenger on whether he was concerned that the fans were calling for signings. He insisted he was, but don't expect many!

I hope someone at the Supporters Trust meeting tomorrow raises this with Gazidis and finds out whether he is in agreement. If Wenger doesn't realise that next season is almost the last chance saloon for him as far as a large number of fans are concerned, especailly if he repeats the mistakes of the past couple of years, then it's obviously because no-one with power is telling him so!! :banghead:

We might as well un-sticky this thread now. If Wenger's recent comments are to be believed, not one of these rumours is likely to come true and thus this thread is basically doing a Denilson - just occupying space.

Don't think it makes much difference IHH.

I think AW is taking us down a path that will not see us win a major trophy, with his faith in the type of player that we have, the style and methods, and lack of awareness to problems that are resurfacing year-on-year.

I am losing faith.

He looked really haggard on the beeb yesterday, so i aint going to draw anything from what he said. Im cynical about our chances of getting what we need, but i'll give him a chance.

ok its goal.com, so reliability is at best slightly dodgy, but if true, he can go fuck himself! :x

The sad thing is I used to think that when he was evasive and obfuscatory about his intentions that he was just being carefull, to avoid having prices jacked up artificialy. Now it appears that he realy does believe and intent to carry through on all the crap he spouts.

I just wish he would go, cos I am finding it harder to have any enthusiasm as each new season begins. And I see the likes of Denilson etc still wearing the shirt.

Who needs this thread when we've got Arsenal.com.....

Arsenal fans know the deal when it comes to transfer deals: it's only official when it's announced on Arsenal.com.

That won't change this summer. The Club website will be the first to announce any comings and goings at Emirates Stadium and the first place to watch interviews with any new signings.

But we know that transfer speculation will be rife in the build-up to the 2010/11 campaign and we intend to keep you abreast of all the gossip between now and the Big Kick-Off.

Our Transfer Linked page will feature all the rumours doing the rounds in the media so check back every day for the latest stories. Just remember to take them with a pinch of salt...

I noticed that this morning as well..... Now why would the club be publishing details of rumours?? Hope its not to warm us up for a Spurs style apology for all the players we were in for and nearly got!!
