Over the moon. Knew Theo would return to the promise he showed at the start of the campaign.

Kos & Szczesny top class

Roll on the quarter-finals - home tie please!

How assured is he compared to the nervous wreck that is Djourou? Hope he starts on Saturday.

As for Chesney he looks very promising, love his arrogance  just hope he is given a further stint as our "cup keeper" if yo get me?! 8)

I'm just curious as to what their other best keepers have been?

A good performance but very lucky Ranger stayed on his feet after Chesney got caught outside the box. He will hopefully get more Carling Cup time and maybe dead rubber CL games to make more of a case

Good result though we gave Newcastle too many chances, individually some good defensive displays and Djorour recovered from a bad start but needed more protection from midfield and Sagna wasn't very good. Glad to see Walcott and Bendtner among the goals

:coffeespit: Never thought I'd see another Arsenal player with worse distribution than Denilson, step forward Craig Eastmond.

Eastmond = Denilson minus the ability to pass sideways

I'm not really down with the techno garb but wouldn't 2.0 be an upgrade on the original?

Or is Eastmond the Windows Vista of the Arsenal midfield?

Good all round display. I thaught Denilson had a good game, Eastmond did look out of his depth but it's his first game of the season. Thaught he looked assured and composed in the game time he got last season.

Chesney looked the part, I hope Almunia doesn't come anywhere near Arsenal Football Club again with this promising keeper and Flappy finally finding some confidence and form.

Like the Man City game Johan grew into the game after a shaky start although Koscielny (who was pretty much faultless) should start with Squillaci on Saturday.

Our best two players were Kos,he got Djourou out of jail tonight and must start on saturday and Szczesny who reminds me so much like Joe Hart. That tells a story though when you look at Newcastles line up.The difference was we took our chances.Eastmond looked out of his depth, saying that Denilson wasnt much better. And i know some love Eboue on here but once again his diving is an embarassment. But the worst Arsenal player was Carlos the Jackass.Pure Shite
