The qoute is from a carry on film and was ment as a joke as was the whole post but hay ho not to worry. Not for me - for my views. People who can honestly and objectively debate any of this can ditinguish between myself and my views and th9ose peopl who can make that distiction even if they disagree with my views sharply seem to like me. That you are unable or unwilling to do that says far more about you personally as an adult than anything about me as a Gooner or othersise.
On a forum like this your views make you and who you are to the readers of the forum. If you were to ask to discribe any poster on here Im sure your discription of them will differ to the way they are if you met them in a pub. I disagree with you on your views on the board what your views are on players, the way we play, our formations, who should play in goal etc etc are limited at best because you do not let us know in detail. Your obsession with letting us know your views on the board overshaddow all other views you have.
Your last sentance is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black but not to worry Im sure you will turn it around to make it sound like I do not know what I am on about and that you are the fountain of all knowledge.

Hello Martin, been gone two days and when I get back I see about 10 pages in this thread.USMartin wrote:Say hi to the Belgians for me thenBabu wrote:That is all I have to say at the moment. Have to get ready to go to Belgium. it's a 6AM start for us tomorrow.
And I still have to find my knuckle-duster.

Take it easy mate. Will catch you later.![]()

oh and not with the knuckle-duster. That's your own message or as you say agenda

Oh well, I have a bit of time on my hands.
Belgium was brilliant, btw. Had a great first night there, friendly locals, good beer and stuff, decent Hotel.
Second day much of the same, but then on the march to the Stadium got attacked from a side-street, with fireworks and tables and chairs.

Game was awesome. 1-1. AFC - FCZ still on.
Back safe and sound though.
Right, let's see what's been happening here!

Yes, learnt something new from the last hour of wading through this thread.mcdowell42 wrote:USMartin wrote: We all control our actions and choices - myself included. I chose to call someone a c**t pussy when I was angry - no one made me no one forced me - I had the choice and I took it. Same with you here. You made the choice to type this as you did and choose the words and invective and insults you did - no one else.
I was that someone still not quite sure what a c**t pussy is though
So it's McDowell42 that is the *word censored* pussy.
Excellent. I tried to search for the origin once but couldn't find it, but at least now I know who it was said to.
You learn something new every day! Well done McDowell.

Not about the Board though, as yet. Still 3 pages to go though.

Martin, the 'Board' has gone.
They sold up, made their cash, and they have left the building - even if a couple of the smaller ones are still 'officially' on the Board, they have no shares, no say and no power.
They are non-executive directors, just a token presence.
It's over. You were right about the old Board. But they are gone.
The NEW BOARD is KROENKE. The End.

Your wording always puzzles me. Who said I like to believe anything? If I've told you something that I think, whether right or wrong, it's because I've formed an opinion based on what I've seen and heard - not because I've chosen to believe a certain agenda. There is a big difference, and you do this all the time. This ever so subtle manipulation of words which changes the entire meaning of what someone has said is what, I assume, annoys people the most about your replies.USMartin wrote:I think there mfght be something to this though not for the reasons you state here or would like to believ Tony.tonysaunders wrote: I'm starting to question whether being a member of a discussion forum is right for you…. but your posts and, I'm afraid to say, it would seem your personality are far too taxing for such an informal environment.
Anyway, the reason I questioned your suitability for an online discussion forum is because you seem a bit too at ease with upsetting/irritating people who use this forum with your recruitment drive.
And therein lies the rub. You're not here for discussion, are you? It's a bit like my wife dragging me around Ikea asking my which curtains I like and me not giving a toss. Which curtains we chose will directly affect me because they will be on display in my house, but in truth, I couldn't care less, and the fact that I couldn't care less causes my wife to get really angry at me. Then I get angry at her for getting angry at me - and so it begins. Sure, I could fake taking an interest, and that might even work for a while, but the fact is that I'm not interested.
The irony, however, is that although she wants me to offer an opinion she has no intention of actually listening to it - unless it is the same as hers. The reason being that she has better taste in curtains than I do because she is actively interested in them whereas I am not.
Do you see what I'm trying to say here Martin? I'm not saying that you're wrong, or that you behave much worse than certain other forum members, because you don't. I'm saying that you're flogging a dead horse with this board stuff. This forum is informal in the extreme - it's what makes/made it so good. For want of a better phrase, it's the pub humour. Now, don't get me wrong, the odd serious discussion is usually welcomed here and there are members here who know plenty about the board. However, even they, and most certainly the rest of the genuine Arsenal fans who log on here leisurely to chat about the Arsenal team will start to become annoyed at talking about the board all. of. the. time.
Unlike others, I'm not telling you to leave the forum. Nor am I telling you to completely stop talking about the board. However, I'm sure that something needs to change. It boggles my mind to think that you might not comprehend that, if you bombard people enough with the exact same paragraphs day, after day, after day, after day, after day, that they might start to become (legitimately) annoyed with you.
You're dragging us around Ikea, asking us which curtains we like day after day, despite you knowing full well that you'll get a blank stare back.
I forget who suggested it, but I think the blog thing is a very good idea. Again, I'm not telling you to get out of town. Rather, I think that a blog might be a better what of gathering like-minded people together for your cause. After all, that is what you want to do, isn't it? Gather a group of like-minded people to fight for a cause.
You really should consider it, Martin. Because you've tried, and failed to drum up support here for well over a year now. In your defence, it was always doomed to failure. This forum is far too informal an environment for what you've been trying to achieve (as especially for how you've been trying to achieve it). Why do you keep beating the same drum when you, and everyone else, is so tired of it?
