Arsenal Artillery 1886

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

sign me up for this

i like the simple names "The Artillery" or "The Infantry"

i think we should have a game prob in jan where we try to get as many of us together for a game and make it public and just get as many of us in a block together,

prob a poor 1 like blackburn at home, (they will bring no fans) so we will get more seats in the clock end,

Get a name sorted and get it on facebook, twitter and everywhere else we can get as many people who want to sing to get to that game and all together in clock end and just sing for 90 mins

when we get bigger i think something like scarfs etc is a good idea like the manc do with the yellow n green things then every1 knows what they stand for even if its not on match days,

NOW SING FOR THE FUCKING ARSENAL BITCHES

I suggest that someone draws up an Arsenal song-book. We can hand it out in The Rocket beforehand.

Good shout.

I also think we should arrange ourselves in-line with out musical pitch (barotones, tenors etc etc) so we can make sure the singing has the required depth.

Do you think we could get Nigel Kennedy to accompany us on the violin?

It's already fucking pathetic listen to Burrell screaming out

"NUMBER 4...............PERRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

followed by a handful of mumbled "Mertesacker" responses that nobody can make out

Too right I don't want some prick telling me what to sing and when. Atmosphere is created by the mood and the fans at the time. I don't remember needing some knobhead getting proceedings going when there were 56000 packed into the old Highbury and people sitting on the North Bank roof.

Obviously I havent attended anywhere near as many matches at highbury as most of ye lads but havent we all heard that highbury was frequently referred to as "the hughbury library" ? A lot of fans that I have spoken with have said that much of the hostile atmosphere was a myth :?

Quite funny watching people putting these ideas down, the fact is for who we are we have THE worst home support in the league, it's embarrassing. something obviously needs to be changed.

2 things need to be done:

1) Less Nazi-like stewarding (the Club need to relax the rules stewards are made to abide by)
2) Singing section in the Clock End.

SIMPLES.

That's from sitting in the away end... of course it aint gonna sound as good from there. At least these teams have a bigger and better variety of songs and dont just sing "and its arsenal" 10 times a fcking game. Just think, when you sit in the clock end at the bowl you cant hear the corner/north bank sing at all, so think about how it sounds from sitting in the away end.

We can smuggle the drugs in Nigel Kennedy's violin case and the Arsenal song-books can be made of edible acid-coated paper. 8)

Granted, I think "We love you" is a bit of a gay chant, but it shits all over our atmosphere. I'm sure they'll make a right racket at OT on Wednesday.
