Re: Rumours
Inter Milan want to sign Arsenal target Yann M'Vila as they prepare to lure Laurent Blanc into becoming their new manager this summer. The Rennes midfielder, 21, is expected to play a key role for Blanc's French side at Euro 2012 but Arsenal remain favourites to sign M'Vila, who they tried to buy last summer.

Yep, Arsenal are truly favourites to sign a player who will no doubt play a starring role in Euro 2012, beating off competition from Man Utd, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. I can see the day clearly....mcdowell42 wrote:Inter Milan want to sign Arsenal target Yann M'Vila as they prepare to lure Laurent Blanc into becoming their new manager this summer. Double their money ? From tighthole wenger ? I think the poor guy better start learning Russian asap
Re: Rumours
I think it's better not to concentrate on who more like how .
Anyone who has a good euro's will cost min 15 mill up to 30 mill ,and will attract the mega rich in the UK/USSR/ITALY/SPAIN
which with their salary expectations rules us out of the Game .
All we can or will afford is the also rans of the competition which isn't wise as they will all be knackered anyway after the competition and will be injured in the premier league before Christmas .
We could do worse than look at some of the people who wont be going or who play in under rated leagues like the bundeslega though we shouldn't be looking to sign more cart horses like the mets .

Just read the following link:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -Song.html
Apparently Inter want Song if we are the preferred destination for M'Vila.
It also says that we want to keep Song even if the transfer of M'Vila is successful, and give him a hefty pay rise and extended contract.

Scary, cos it was not written by a 'sportsmail reporter'

Re: Rumours
Agreed - but we're more likely to sign players from France or Belgium i.e. shit leagues rather than the underrated Bundesliga. There will be no m'Vila or Goetze, but I'm sure Valenciennes have an 18 year old midfielder and Beveren a third choice goalkeeper that we'll be in for to swell our already bulging mass of 'super quality'Herd wrote:I think it's better not to concentrate on who more like how .

Juventus ramped up their interest in Robin Van Persie this week by meeting the Arsenal star's representatives, according to reports in Italy.
The Arsenal ace has a contract at the Emirates until 2013 and so far has failed to commit to the club.
Van Persie says he wants to wait until the end of the season before discussing a new deal at Arsenal and that indecision has led to suggestions he may be considering quitting the club.
Arsenal are desperate to keep van Persie but having failed to win a trophy for seven years, they are wary he may decide to venture elsewhere in the pursuit of silverware.
Aged 28 and at his peak, van Persie has just two trophies to his name - the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord and the FA Cup with Arsenal - and numerous clubs in Europe are eager to take him.
Juventus are one of them and Tuttosport claims delegates from the Serie A club met with the Dutchman's representatives this week.
Talks are understood to be informal and at a very early stage but Juventus are committed to improving their squad this summer and van Persie is the man they want.

Re: Rumours
There are many teams that I fear could entice rvp away from us........juve are not one of them. Granted they have an illustrious history that most (inc us) could only dream off (match fixing aside of course) but they no longer have the draw of ac milan or the big spanish clubs

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given Robin van Persie a 72-hour deadline to resolve his future and sign a new deal with the Gunners
Daily Mirror
Arsenal are on the trail of one of the hottest prospects in Italian football - who has been dubbed the 'new Gareth Bale'. Moroccan full-back Acharaf Laazar, 20, plays for Serie B side Verase and is apparently on Arsene Wenger's radar.

Re: Rumours
I agree but did you notice they might finish this season unbeaten
But still I don't think van Persie would join them. Maybe they regain their old status in 2-3 years but not now.

Re: Rumours
If the rumour is true ( and let's remember it IS Only a Rumour) that Wenger has given RVP 72 hours to make up his mind, then I'm sure being the sharp minded individual that he is RVP will want assurances that Arsenal WILL make new significant an quality signings this summer,.
Having said that it could also be argued that RVP owes us....How many months has he been on the treatment table being paid a very nice earner thank-you very much, this is (so far - fingers & toes crossed
) the first full season he has had, admittedly it has been an exceptional season for him by any means, so maybe he (his reps) will be negotiating for:
Wage Rise (that's a given)
Loyalty Bonus (now a given in most contracts)
Significant Investment by the club in New players (*)
(*) I just hope he also puts in a clause that requires the club to get shot of:
Almunia
Flappy
Vela
Diaby
Bendtner
Denilson
All of whom - if sold/dumped by the clubcould have their wages made available for RVP and new signings !
simples.

Re: Rumours
RVP would never go to Juventus, the mere idea of it is laughable. Serie A is a small-time league, full of corruption, diving and foul play. Add to that the fact that Arsenal are a bigger and better club than Juve and you've got yourself an entirely fabricated story.
