SOUTHAMPTON HOME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Keeper with the Worst saves to shots ratio in the entire league last season. He's total overrated shite, and people rate him just for not being Almunia
I can't find this stat Baba, do you have a source?

I could only find that De Gea had a better ratio than Joe Hart last year. :? May not be the soundest of stats.

It's true.. I remember a discussion about it some time ago. Just can't find the source at the moment.

Remember him posting this at some point just after the season ended. Shez was by far and away the worst if I can remember.
Shez is certainly not the finished article but Arsenal's defensive woes weren't solely down to Shez last year, the number of different defensive formations we had to play during the season was an absolute joke with what? 3 injured full backs and 2 injured centre backs - that can't be easy

Also not all shots are equal, a keeper is always going to have a hard time if the defence in front of him is in disarray.

Put not your faith in OPTA stats, for they lead us unto thinking Denilson is a footballer.

More encouraging signs today, but the real test will come when we meet a team that isn't complete toilet (yes I include Victims FC in that category)
