do we look likely to improve on that this season? I don't see it. Just my opinion but was this really a possible title winning side out there today?

Jenkinson, Ramsey, Mertesacker etc are all hard workers but I will be surprised if they win us the title.
the title winners I expect will come to the Emirates next Saturday. If Arsenal win that one then I deserve criticism for my comments but not at the moment.
Man Utd will win the title, couple of injuries for chelski and they are screwed. As for arsenal we are light years ahead of last season. Keep the team fit and anything can happen.
If this was a joke it was a pretty good one 8)
Perhaps spur of the moment, but did you expect us to win the league in 1998?

The thing is that as you say the team has to stay fit and if you look at the past years and the huge amount of injuries.. well it just made me laugh. But I agree with you that the first team looks very strong and I would be happy for you to win the league.

Best technician in an Arsenal shirt since Dennis...
Agreed. I am just amazed we got a clear run at signing this lad and for an initial 12m too. In fairness to the club it could prove to be one of the most amazing transfers in our history. The guy is genuine top quality
SteveO imagine how much juicy profits we can make on his when we end up selling him to Citeh/Chelski/Manure!!!
Rub your hands in glee! We can get £35 mil for him I reckon easy, maybe close to £38mil?
:rubchin:

He's quality. I'll give it summer of 2014 before he moves on.
We've got a ready made replacement in Denilson besides...
:barscarf:
Baba - you actually think that we'll manage to get 35m for him mate ? Remember we are the club that sold TH14 for the same price as Darren Bent despite him just having signed a 4 year deal, allowed ourselves to get less for Fabregas who still had 2 years left on his deal than the Spuds got for Modric, and allowed our one-man-team captain escape to our once upon a time rivals for 22m despite being one of the best strikers in Europe and having scored 30 goals in the PL.

If ever a club could contrive to get 20m for Cazorla it would be us !

But I agree with your point !
Agreed my bad!
Now you've reminded me about Cloueless and Gazidis, they'll sell him to Fergie to help him complete his midfield and for just £20mil too!

Arsene will tell us he "had no choice" (before giving Gervinho a fat new contract the following day!)
Arsene has already kindly gift-wrapped a match-winning striker for Fergie who's already got them 6 points from games they deserved nothing in

So Arsene will next move onto sorting Fergie's midfield problem for him, by selling him Cazorla.
And who knows, if Koscielny carries ok this fine form then Rio Ferdinand will have a ready made replacement! About £15mil will do it

Happy with a point, but with some composure by Gervinho we could have had all 3 - why does he always blast wildly, when a placed shot would suffice ?

Was dismayed with our subs, I would have taken Gervinho off, left Podolski on as he would have taken a half chance later on and why pick Theo over Ox ?

Thought Giroud held the ball well when he came on - did far more in the little time given than Walcott did.

Defensively, Gibbs had a superb first half, intercepted well but could have done better when crossing.

Mert had his best ever game in Arsenal shirt, his positioning snuffed out most of the city attacks.

Jenkinson did great, but when he and Mert have the ball at the back they do look quite uncomfortable to me and give me a heart attack with their passing.

I believe in Santi, a great orchestrator of our attacks and agree that Areteta gave the ball away far more than usual today.

A decent start to the season for us, some tough away games out of the way early on and the team look like they are willing to fight for the points - keep it up.

First time on here for a Manchester based Gooner. Apart from the poor defending on the corner it was a solid away performance.. Thought we played better than them and controlled most of the play, getting a well deserved point. Would have setlled for that before the game but with a bit more composure and an inform striker we would have nicked 3 points.... Oh well at least I won't be taking any stick from the Shitty fans in work tomorrow.

Highlight for me other than Kos scoring was Jenkinsons marauding runs , epitomising this teams new optimism

Thought we got that point in spite of wenger who is still an almighty **** in my book and his vision makes Stevie wonder looked gifted

How the fcuk could he leave that useless c**t with the abnormal forehead on the pitch for so fcuking long ? The guy has the touch of a rapist and the brains of a mule  I swear to god I told my two kids in the 2nd half that he was citeeh's best player by a country mile  Wenger has ox sitting on his arse and he would have been a huge upgrade but instead he takes off the pod (who was quiet by his standards but not shit like the forehead  ) and brings on a c**t who thinks he is worth 100k per week only to cross the ball so badly that it goes out for a throw in on the other side of the pitch :cussing: :cussing: Wenger must love players with no fcuking brains

Diaby also reverted to type today also - he got caught in possession so many times and kept turning back into trouble  It seems that one good game and the praise that came with it has again fooled this guy into thinking that he is a good player

Mannone is a keeper than is nowhere near good enough. It isn't his fault but that doesn't alter the fact that he isn't good enough. Last season we bemoaned the fact that our number 2 keeper wasn't good enough and now we are having to really on our number 3 keeper  It really is embarassing

To finish on a positive can I say massive well done to jenks (who was outstanding), santi, Gibbs, kos, Ramsey and arteta but especially to merts whose experience and positioning was outstanding today :barscarf:

if I am proved wrong then fair enough.

bit like last season when I KNEW the team was top 4 quality when everyone else on here couldn't see it.

anyway I said it was an ok result so I wil leave it at that but I can't get excited about a draw at an out of form Man City.
Regardless of your opinions, or whatever you say....Even putting Arsenal and this Forum aside...I can just tell...

You ARE a *word censored*.

They can't really say anything else though can they ? We bossed that game for 90% of it and if we had even a half decent player up front instead of Klingon gerry then we would have pissed home cos we were way better than them 8)
