which striker (left back and backup goalie) should we buy?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

and Ba with his rumoured clause is the most gettable...
I agree, all of those are good shouts in that they would improve us
trouble is they dont seem very Wenger signings.
Basically my argument is we need something that is a departure from 'Wenger' type signings
but I would like us to depart by going LARGE

Lefty, I think the problem with most of them is they are not “Wenger type players”, as in they DO NOT like to play tippy tappy pass pass or take 5 touches in the box and then squeeze another pass out of an attack... and some of those mad bastards DO like to actually (this bit is mental!) shoot and score goals...

I know, wenger would think they were insane after a couple of games with all that "shooting" stuff and have a sports pyschologist change these lunatic tendancies

I didn't see him v Wales, there was a link/vote on twitter about Eduardo
I think we need to make a splash but did have a soft spot for him
he would need to be tearing it up to be considered, doesn't sound like he is
Eduardo of old would have scored a hat-trick 9 times out of 10 against that Wales side. It was only because they mercilessly fielded him ahead of Jelavic that it was 2 and not 5 or 6.

Putting it simply one of these three David Villa, Radamel Falco or Edinson Cavani. Anyone less will not replace RVP. He was the 3rd best player in the world over last two years. We sold one of the best we need to buy one of the next best.

He'd improve Chelski as well IMO which makes it less likely...

I believe Shenua ran out of money and had to let both Drogba and anelka go :rubchin:  So atm he is a free agent although ive no doubt his wage demands would be huge and way above what AW would ever offer him

If we've got a spare £350,000 per week, we might tempt Samuel E'to move to play for us upfront

He's been playing deep in central midfield against the victims. :?

Any of Jovetic, Cavani or Falcao would make me a happy man. We have the money to even buy the first two if we want to, but we don't.

If Arsenal buy a striker it means that Wenger recognises that he was wrong , that aint going to happen any time soon. The "money is there " cliche is growing tired. We know it's there but after today's AGM we know it will be staying there.
If we were to sign someone I wouldn't like it to be Ba..great quality and a great player but we would lose him for January. Jelavic at Everton is a decent striker, can't see them selling. Something about ambition at Goodison , think it's something got to do with improving the team and squad. Crazy idea, will never catch on with Wenger and co.

I thought Huntelaar would have been a excellent buy,is only career blimp has been the 6 mths at RM and a season at Milan but back in a more competitive league with Schalke 04 he's again showing his ability (40 goals in 62 appearances).
