So we got chelski next in the cup. Probably a good draw TBH because we will have to put out a strong side. If we can't beat em at home then we are wasting our time anyway.

High praise indeed...I just hope it isn't the 'kiss of Death' for Eisfeld.

Wenger - Eisfeld reminds me of Pires
Thomas Eisfield reminds Arsène Wenger of Robert Pires because both players are like "snakes" in the penalty area.
The Germany youth international opened the scoring in Arsenal's Capital One Cup tie at West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday, collecting Nicklas Bendtner's precision pass and finishing with aplomb.
Eisfeld has scored goals from all angles for the under-21s - he netted nine times last season - and Wenger says he has a rare quality.
"He is a Pires type," the manager told Arsenal Player. "He appears to be in the box without being noisy and appearing suddenly. When he is there, he finishes well.
"He has that kind of quality that some midfielders have - not many. They have the timing to get in dangerous situations. When they have those dangerous situations, they are like snakes. They bite you to death because they don't miss their first touch.
"He's cool enough in front of goal and he finishes well."

Must admit I think he has something special - but Pires was a master in mid-field - couldn't tackle that well (mind you the one on PV4 when we dumped Juventus out of the cL was a 10 out of 10) but could destroy teams with his Ali - like - shuffle...

Watched the highlights on Arsenal tv and to be fair we put a few mistimed tackles in ourselves, 1 think we got 3 deserved bookings before WBA got any.

Are we dirty old Arsenal again or soft southern Arsenal, who don't like it up 'em ?

Young Hayden was lucky not to get a red. If that had been a more experienced ref I think he would have walked.

Agree. but his intention was definitely to get the ball, but it somehow completely missed and wiped out the Baggie player.

In what way did Mannone or flappy surpsie us? In being even shitter than we thought?

As much as NB's fitness is a joke, I hope he can do well as a backup at least until January

Chippy, as mods WE ARE THE LAW. The rules don't apply to us, so fill your boots. We don't need to be fair or impartial - the lunatics are running the asylum! :barscarf:
