A bloody great result and somewhat surprising too. I only seen the second half and was told by the (akb) pub owner that we had been largely given the run around but for me that makes the victory all the sweeter - I really yearn for the days when we prioritised substance over style and winning big games like this, when we have been under constant pressure, makes me a very happy Gooner :barscarf:

If we don't go to old shatford full of confidence (and take the game to those crunts) after these results then we never will 8)

Sorry to ruin the positive atmosphere but what was Redknapp saying about us after the match?

I though he said we looked very average and then my stream died.

No harm in that, if it had been the other way round then I'm sure some wobs would have had their say
Difference being this fella is a wum. Every victory against the odds is somehow vindication for Wenger, it's pathetic.

Shezza post match interview: "We can't wait to go to Old Trafford and hopefully get the 3 points".

Confidence sky high at the minute

I spent my early twenties following George's Arsenal frustrate teams all over Europe and nicking a goal ending in that wonderful night in Copenhagen. Have that feeling again tonight and it's a good one!

That second half performance was brilliant, everyone did their f**king job, Giroud bullied like he should Rambo provided the support back and up front when needed, Tomas and Santi were everywhere and the Ref against his better judgement let Arteta stay on, Ozil stayed on and provided the bit of magic with his cross in the box.

Special mention, he has no pace but he is a man mountain of a defender. He just edges MOTM, but with Ches save off Bender's header and the whole team's performance in the 2nd half I would give MOTM to the 11, well done lads.

Nothing like a bit of the old one nil to the Arsenal :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Goal difference.
Nope - it's head-to-head between the 3 teams so essentially they discount the Marseille results. Obviously if it was 12 each it would all be W2 L2 between us, Dortmund and Napoli so it would then go down to goal different STILL discounting Marseille. So if we only lost by 1 goal in Naples we'd be guaranteed to go through in those circumstances with a positive GD from the 4 games.

And if that's the same stop being a difficult *word censored*

Here is a link to the rules

The way I read it is that if we finish level on points with Dortmund they would go through as they have more away goals against us. If we beat Marseille and lose by one goal against Napoli then we are through. lose 2-0 and its goes to group goal difference, then goals for and then coefficient.

lets just win both our last games hey!!!

Kudos to the 2 interlopers wearing the old cannon and red and white amidst the Dortmund fans.

And well done to the stewards for not being arsey and kicking them out, seeing as the Dortmund fans looked like they didn't mind their presence.

ESPN headline "Arsenal deny Dortmund" that's a bit harsh bearing in mind WE WON.

a really really great result imho.

i can't wait to see the goal later.

I beg to differ, of course. I am only a WUM in the eyes of folk who don't like what I say. I remain consistent and I actually think it is pathetic that some can't see that. Obviously now I will be attacked again, simply because folk aren't insightful enough to see we remain all gooners and want the same thing but have differing perspectives. If I were in the majority then folk that say 'wenger out' 'arsene is a cnntu' 'AKB fcking pathetic sheep' would be the WUMs. Simple. Like it or not, that's how I feel it is.
