I agree signing Kalou would be disastrous move. He's no better than what we already have- Gervinho, Theo etc...apart from he lacks the potential to improve. i agree stats don't tell you the whole deal, but i do believe that stats like goals scored, assists, chances created and any ratio of any of those can actually tell you something.

and it can tell you that emile heskey is a huge pile of shit, for example - not that you need any stats for that
