I heard Tony Adams on talkshite the other day, saying how he had met with the Arsenal players, and roared at them to Fucking win it, if you cant be motivated by a legend like him, then you have no business wearing an Arsenal jersey.

17 A Song
19 Wilshere
23 Arshavin (Chamakh 77)
10 Van Persie (Bendtner 69)

Only Szczesny, Sagna, Kos, Wilshere and Rosicky remain, and 3 of those are very unlikely to start on Saturday. So I'm taking a bit of confidence from that.
It doesn't matter how much of the personnel has changed because the team is systemically flawed because of Wenger's poor management, which explains why we've had such a high turnover of players since 2005 yet we collapse mentally in the same way, no matter who is wearing the shirts.

That being said, I knew we would lose against Birmingham but I'm quite confident that we will beat Hull.

Zigic, who had been a flop, started playing well for Brum in the week before the final and I knew we wouldn't be able to cope with his height in the penalty area and I also knew that our team was too mentally fragile to deliver the trophy. When the game started, Arsenal looked a total mess and that confirmed my worst fears.

Feel nervous as hell about this. I think we'll know within the first 10 mins which Arsenal team has turned up. If we score early then we'll cane them, but I think the nerves are going to get to the players and it'll be 0-0 at half time, then we'll have to endure a sphincter tightening second half. Not confident at all.
If I thought Wenger would definitely fuck off if we lost I might relax slightly as there would be a silver lining, but I really want us to win.

Arsenal are capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone. It all depends on who turns up on the day. This will not be an easy game!!

Any updates on Chamberlain's availability?

Hoping he can at least make the bench in case things get drastic...

I'm going with 3-0.

In cup finals, I generally expect both teams to score due to the magnitude of these matches, but seeing as Hull are without their two main strikers, I find it hard to envision them breaking through.

Actually, no I don't - we're Arsenal: fuck knows how we'll play on the day...

Was quite confident about this. But woke up this morning feeling very nervous. :worried: But I'm always like that before cup finals so not reading too much into it. :|

Had the dream a couple weeks ago and will be putting €10 on Ramsey first goal and 4-0 to The Arsenal. 8)

Being a gooner is soo stressful. That bus pic was shown on Good Morning Britain.

Long time no squeak! Normally I would support the underdogs, the wannabee Tykes, but on this occasion, along with many "neutrals" I'd like Arsenal to win a trophy and stop all the negativity and get the monkey off your back. I just can't see anything other than an Arsenal win, by 2 or 3 goals, Hull pass it well but they don't hurt much.

The 56 minute thing, don't bother, it's your day not ours. Do it and small vociferous bunch of social media grief junkies, who were not even born that day, will have won. That will be a sad day for football, before you know it, Bolton will want the same, Man U too, then Rangers, then the cup final will have to played until the 96th minute so L'poo don't feel left out. Fans friggin hands wills sore from all the clapping.

It's split fan against fan oop here, just as it did at Wembley with some refusing to touch the 56 flag, and 56, a number is what those fans are now reduced to. These idiots are demanding respect, you can't do that, what you get won't be sincere, they don't want to commemorate anything, they want to celebrate, like they do. Turning seamlessly "We all hate Leeds SCUM" into "Always remember the 56" (Tom Hark) How friggin disrespectful can it all get?

We have a better team with more leaders out there but then I'd say the opposition are quite a bit better than Birmingham were, even without Long/Jelavic.

Losing to Birmingham at that point in time wasn't far removed from losing to Bradford.

Has this forum ever witnessed a trophy win? The oldest members I can see are from 2006 so tomorrow there's a chance this forum pops it's cherry. :barscarf:
