As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Glad he never played with Eboue, Song or Gervinho. At Barca he was another special player. At Arsenal he is the outstanding performer. This will not go unnoticed by Real, Bayern and the big two in England. The lad is so obviously a winner and a fighter , my fear is he won't see enough of those qualities in his current club and team mates.
Spot on. I think that it is clearly visible at the moment that he is not happy with his team mates at times. His body language and facial expressions gives away quite a lot...
This man is a machine. He won't be at the Arsenal very long if this rest of the teams apathy goes on. But what I can't understand is the rest of the players. How they can keep showing mediocre performances week in week out when this one guy is giving everything he has - in every fucking game! One would think that they should feel ashamed of themselves.

Interesting comments from Theo Theo over the weekend. Apparently Sanchez is not just full on for games but is also a committed trainer and is always "on". Theo and his Gunners colleagues are always saying to Sanchez to ease off or he'll be knackered by January.
Good advice or a sign of inherent laziness from the other players?
And a good ole dollop of Jealousy...Most of them have had such an easy ride these past years under wenker and his namby pamby - let's all talk nicey nicey and not get angry pyschoshyte babble....
If we had another 4 players in the team - regardless of their position - with the same relentless never say die, win at all costs attitude - who were prepared to run their bollocks off till the last minute - we could win the prem.....I wonder if he's got a twin bro - or can persuade any others of his ilk to come to The Arsenal ?
ALEXIS! THERE'S ONLY ONE ALEXIS! (Unless he's got a Twin Bro!)

Def the latter and it is an absolute disgrace too - without sanchez going fully on, we would not have beaten Anderlecht sunderland or burnley so should sanchez ease up at the expense of dropping even more points ? Maybe some of our more pampered players should look and learn what it takes to be a winner at the top level of any sport - you have to train and play with real intensity cos strolling around during the week does not prepare you for a competitive league game
If only their wages were Performance Related - Alexis would be rich, while the rest would all be on minimum wage - and have to get a second job Making T shirts in Mautirius or collecting empty pepsi cans on the streets of Rio De janiro!

Welbeck is a worker, keeps making short off the ball runs and bustling.
Due respect but thank God Welbeck works hard. Just as Giroud "Works hard".
It's good because as a £17m striker he def can't be relied on to score goals in big games / be clinical.
I'm not even sure he will hit 15 league goals, and playing at Arsenal on big wages, and the main number 9 sorry but that's just rubbish. If our rivals are using Costa and Aguero, where will we go with "Wiroud"?

Could've been worse, we could've had Kalou as our CF.

I do agree with Baba though.......Welbeck was a last resort option. Pace and strength and 1,000,000x better than Postman Yaya for sure.....but when I look at his performances so far in the bigger games - City, Spurs, Dortmund, Chavski - I haven't seen anything to convince me he is much better than the flat track bully I thought he would be. I said when he signed that I see him as a 12-15 PL goal per season man, tops
