Sanchez is a £50-60m player. I said when we signed him he was a coup and the bloke is fucking top drawer.

It will lift the squeeze on Wenger though - Merson is a moron but he's a typical pundit and he was more than happy to get drawn into talk of turning corners and how Wenger needs more credit. Few wins now and it will all be forgotten.

Both our goals were good tonight. We played average and beat a struggling Dortmund side.

Well done, Arsenal.

But that has actually really annoyed me tonight! So we're 2 up with 30 minutes to go, one more and we get the tiebreaker on Dortmund. We could've gone for it a bit more in the last 10 at least. Now we're hoping for an unlikely Anderlecht win, whereas another goal tonight and we'd just need the crazy Belgians to draw, which they could do against a Dortmund team with nothing to play for. :x

Still a win's a win, now let's go and tear up West Brom. I'm still happy that we've won. :D

Good performance , solid rather than spectacular. First goal for Sanogo, in fairness he did so well to hold up the initial ball but even his finish looks clumsy . He isn't a Premier League class forward. Gibbs, chambers and the Ox played well and even though I I didn't think Sanchez was as good as recently he is head and shoulders above what we have.
Mixed feelings on this , get out of jail card played again by Wenger , but the campaign to remove him cannot be allowed lose momentum because of this,

Leverkusen will be the draw everyone wants but no chance of that happening. When Barca ruled Europe we got them consistently, then Bayern and on the one occasion we won the Group we got Milan

If by some miracle Anderlecht won in Germany and we won the Group we'd get the runners up in the PSG / Barca group

Chavski of course will end up with Basel, Monaco or Shakhtar

Will be interesting to see what Baba moans about tonight,I know last time before he was banned he used to go missing when we won a game and then reappear when we got a bad result.

I'll be honest even winning the group i don't think i'd fancy our chances against many of the teams with how inconsistent we are currently.

Oh well happy about a win against Dortmund :)

Drums are now number 2 on my list of things I don't want at The Arsenal, behind Wenger (obviously) and above half half scarfs (why does anyone buy them) and blokes with backpacks (you look a knob and what do actually have in there that you can't do without or put I your pocket for a couple of hours?)

Post match Wenger interview

The injury situation is a problem because we have many games and we lost two players tonight. The first one is Mikel Arteta who has another calf problem and that looks quite serious. We also lost Yaya Sanogo to a hamstring problem.

Better performance. Proves you don't have to be a skillful player to run & get back & defend. Caz had a half decent game for a change but did anyone notice Plodolski's body language when he came on as sub. Pathetic. He then walked around for the brief time he was on the pitch. Got to go in January. Bring on da 'Baggies'. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Even though I know it's most likely bad for the long term, I find it incredibly difficult not to enjoy it when The Arsenal win in Europe.

I thought Chambers was great. Thought Monreal played very well all things considered.. Mert/Gibbs looked a bit susceptible to costing us IMO. The organisation was better. Alexis is just fantastic, a real joy to watch. Shame Chambo's dipping shot didn't find the net; it would have been a real beauty - he played well too. Arteta had a good game. There's no point nitpicking problems with Arteta and Monreal anyway in my opinion, it's ridiculous that they are even being used in the roles they are.

The big test is Saturday. We need to win that one. And the one after. And the one after that... you get the point.

We need to go on a run now.. no fucking excuses Arséne.
