Must have been red as I went. Djourou at fault for one of the goals if i remember and Van de Sar had a blinder.

Really impressed with this:

Manchester United v Arsenal
Monday 9th March 2015
Old Trafford
FA Cup – Quarter Final

Train Travel Only (Match Ticket Not Included)

Standard Class - £20.00 return
First Class - £30.00 return

Please note travel for this fixture is being subsidised by the Club to assist supporters getting back after the game.

This train is being operated by Virgin Trains.

Travelling in First Class benefits from a larger seat & complimentary Wi-Fi, however there will be no First Class food & beverage service.

To be fair, that is fantastic value. The BBC should be paying the subsidy.

Yeah just read the piece, 450 spaces for 8600 tickets, amazing gesture but so many will still miss out, I'm out now that's for sure.

First come first served so if you are not in that first wave of ticket sale you got no chance.

Starts at 5+ credits tomorrow so should go all the way down to Reds.

Travel options still not updated...

http://www.arsenal.com/match/report/141 ... al-tickets
The Guardian claims we are due over 11,000 tickets for this.

"FA rules state that the away club can claim up to 15% of the opponent’s stadium capacity – equating to around 11,250 seats for Arsenal."

I wonder why we aren't receiving the full allocation?

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... -nightmare
United have a special agreement with Fa re ticket allocation due to the size of Old Trafford.

Tbh it should be 15pc for the first 40,000 and then 5pc over that I think, or some form of sliding scale.

Still seems odd if 8,600 is their maximum in a 76k stadium, whilst ours would be 9,000 in a 60k stadium.

Got a response from the BBC to that complaint...

Thank you for contacting us about FA Cup Match of the Day Live: Manchester United v Arsenal on 9 March 2015.

I understand you feel the scheduling of the match is a poor decision due to travel.

The Monday evening kick-off time is one of eight slots the FA make available for live televised games and when we pitched for the contract we made a promise to make the big games available to the widest possible audience. Evening kick-offs were a big part of this – it’s when families gather round the television to watch the matches together and it’s great for those who can’t afford subscription sport channels to enjoy the best teams and the best players in action. The Friday and Monday matches have proved extremely popular with football fans across the country, attracting audiences in excess of 7 million.

Evening kick-offs have become a regular part of the football calendar now. In December, Manchester United travelled to Southampton for a Monday night Premier League match, Newcastle travel to Tottenham Hotspurs for a League-Cup quarter-final a few weeks later.

The Manchester United v Arsenal game could be the biggest game in this season’s FA Cup and we want as many football fans as possible to enjoy this. We do appreciate the knock-on effect for travelling away fans and we have since learnt that Arsenal Football Club have made special travel arrangement for fans attending the match on Monday evening. More information can be found on their website:

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... ed-cup-tie

We hope as many supporters as possible can make it to the match and for those who can’t, there will be comprehensive coverage available on BBC One from 7.30pm.

I’m sorry that you’re unhappy with this arrangement and can assure you that our football production team are aware of the issues you have raised.

Thank you again for contacting us, we value your feedback about scheduling. All complaints are sent to senior management and BBC Sport every morning and I included your points in this overnight report. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the BBC and ensures that your complaint has been seen by the right people quickly. This helps inform their decisions about current and future programmes.

Kind regards

Patrick Clyde

Very true. Probably why the FA have been so reticent to criticise us when we have reduced it "on police advice". Especially after I remember Liverpool and Everton behaving pretty poorly last year.
