It was Phil "I didn't say that" Brown but it was a half time lecture to his failing team, superbly sent up some time later by Jimmy Bullard.

Was it Victoria Derbyshire who took him to pieces the morning after "tunnelspitgate"? And what happened to that smug nomark who was his assistant who claimed Cesc had spat at him?DB10GOONER wrote:Every time I saw that wanknoodle Lyin' Phil Brown and his poxy fucking head-mic and YouBeenTangoed tan I wanted to break stuff.Red Snapper wrote:It was Phil "I didn't say that" Brown but it was a half time lecture to his failing team, superbly sent up some time later by Jimmy Bullard.![]()

Yes...I think a lot of people felt and still feel the same way.

Re: Let's all laugh at Chelsea
I think that's reading too much into it to be honest mate. Dropping players, subbing them and players being off form is all part of every football club. I don't think it gives any real indication of going's on behind the scenes. I've not seen anything that suggests the players are not behind their manager. They're professionals and will continue to do their best for their own benefit if nobody else's.augie wrote:SPUDMASHER wrote:He has flatly denied that though.
I don't believe any of the players have said any such thing. The simple truth is that they're having a really shit run of form and luck and the special one doesn't know how to manage in those circumstances because he has never had to do it before.
It really is nothing more than that.
having said that, it is very enjoyable to watch. Currently I would even switch over from the Shawshank Redemption to watch the clusterfuck.
But wouldn't he have to say that even if it is true spuddy ?
One thing that does seem apparent to me is that he doesn't have the same universal support from the players that he used to - he has dropped matic then brought him on and then subbed him all in the one game, last weekend he dropped cesc, ivanovic hasn't been at the races at all this year, and he has been publicly critical of hazard on a couple of occasions this season. Even if we choose to disbelieve the rumour that ivanovic was banging the good doctor, it is clear that the fiasco has unsettled them
I do think that sacking the doctor has caused some degree of unrest as it is seen as being an over the top reaction to the events that occurred. It hasn't gone down well at all with anyone. That'll get resolved though, they'll give her a chunk of wedge and she'll quietly disappear.

Terry fairly pointed out that he would have lynched any player who made those alleged remarks about wanting to lose.
Terry also made some stupid statements about Savage I thought - fair enough to slate the bloke and youd be hard pushed to find anybody that thinks Savage was a top football or anything other than a prick, but to say that a bloke with nearly 350 appearances and 10 seasons in the PL and nearly 40 international caps had no career and played at a "really bad level" is silly and pretty disrespectful to probably the vast majority of players in the PL!

Yes, I think that the "really bad level" was clearly about Wales.

B) that logic doesn't apply to Ryan Giggs who must be something of a role model for Terry - given he was shagging his brothers wife before terry had ever played a game for Chelsea!
