Despite Tyler and Smith's best attempts to run him down at every opportunity Mustafi is having a great game.
And with him, Xhaka and Kolasonic we finally have some Hummppphhh! take that yer chavcunts
Xhaka, lol...really?? You saw him against Liverpool right??
Anyway credit where it is due, really solid performance. I think Wenger got lucky with the Ozil injury, could not afford to have him dawdling around in the midfield.
I still cannot get excited about this...we won't, but even if we did get up among the title challengers we would come apart once the pressure gets applied. AND let us not forget, we drew with Chelsea, we didn't win.....Wenger has reduced our expectations to the point that everyone is hailing this as a MASSIVE achievement.
A bit of perspective: P - 5 Won - 2 Drawn - 1 Lost - 2 Points - 7
POSITION 12th
Completely agree but the galling thing is under a different manager we'd probably be saying it was a result and performance we could build some confidence from.
I think the 3 at the back today are probably as solid as we can be in that system although once or twice Mustafi was caught out it seemed more from lack of experience as a unit rather than poor play, also i thought we hussled pretty well in the centre today, we didn't always win the challenges but we made our presence felt and i think it unsettled them. I know Laca missed an absolute sitter but again i wonder how much of that is down to the constant chopping and changing of fuckwit rather than ability, quite a few of Laca's goals in the last couple of season have been exactly that type of poachers goal.
Welsick is probably going to be out for the remainder of the season as that seems to be his default injury recovery period so expect numbnuts to totally change things around next match rather than slotting Sanchez in.
Anyway overall not a bad performance at the Bridge but as usual overshadowed by the 'waiting for the next huge fuckup from Wenger' syndrome we all are suffering from these days

Lacazette is too slow and weak for this league. He can piss it against the bottom half at home and in Ligue 1 but he will struggle like he did today. Would even take Lukaku over him and I can't stand Lukaku.

He's only played 4 or5 games.
bit harsh on Laca,im not his number one fan but he can finish for sure,i think the team are still trying to get on his wavelength and vice versa, dont know why he was taken off he only needs one chance, although today he fluffed that one chance
At least we hopefully help one of the two Manchester clubs (City obv) to win the title over Chelsea.
Other than that couldn't really give a toss, playing for top 4 or not just not interested any more, clearly a million miles from playing for the title.
great noise in the away end today, much better than some previous visits there
i was calling out the xhaka and ramsey partnership before the game, but to be fair ramsey was at his imperious best in that first half
shame that goal was disallowed, i think the shed upper almost collapsed for about three seconds there
oh well, a decent day out but a bit gutted to not nick it

And? He was the same in France, but that league is shite so he looked much better than he actually is.
Too short, no strength or rapid pace to create chances from nothing. Probably the worst player on the pitch today and rightly subbed. Doesn't bode well that the club record signing is having shockers so early into the season. Misses a sitter that any half decent striker would have buried and probably cost us the 3 pts.
Takes a while to acclimatise, then it takes a while for Wenger to suss it out by using him in every position bar the goalkeepers, then loan him out for a few seasons hoping the fans will forget he ever signed for the club, then flog him for 75% less than what we paid for him....

Yeah, fair enough. We gave him ample time to prove himself, ship him back to where he came from.....
He scored excellent goals against Leicester and Bournemouth and and brilliant finish at Stoke which should have counted.
Probably a good thing you weren't around when Bergkamp started his Arsenal career. He took a few matches to get going. You would have wanted him returned to Inter....
It was a decent performance but far from an assured solid performance where you felt the opposition couldn't score. Wonga and his worshippers will squeeze every ounce out of the result but it won't be long before this team reverts to the familiar and well rehearsed. Seeing that cheating scumbag David Luiz get his marching orders was a moment to savour.
