Great signing.
Everyone around us is strengthening.
Isn't it funny how they manage to do that. Apparently its extremely difficult to do that in January even if you work very hard, day and night. How very strange.....
Mancs - Zaha
Chelsea - Ba
Spurs - Holtby
Liverpool - Sturridge & Coutinho
Citeh will probably buy a world class striker as well after selling Balotelli.
We are the only ones sitting on our hands with the manager not convinced a 6th placed squad can be improved upon.

Fair enough, personally I like him as a player. Not blessed with enough ability to be a top top defender (to borrow from Redknapp Jnr's lexicon) but for me has proven himself in the PL managing to stand out in a fucking woeful side. The old 'better than what we've got argument' is pretty thin given the way we've been shipping in goals but safe to say he barely gets beaten in the air and has plenty of guts.
Think we missed the boat when we could have had him from Blackburn for about £6-8m under Venky's/Kean's absolute circus.
Wenger would never sign him because he's not a 'technical' defender like Koscielny and Mertesacker.

Arsenal.
Walcott, new contract and a fabulous bonus
Ramsey, Jenks, Ox, Gibbs & Wilshere sign new contracts
Giroud, started to score a brace a game
Diaby, not injured (as yet)
Bendtner, back from loan, albeit injured
Djourou, out on loan and to return as an accomplished player
C'mon now. Use your imagination.

Wenger and 'Arry bits are gold, SteveO eat your heart out*!
*HJD I am not actually advocating that SteveO remove his own heart and ingest it, merely a figure of speech.

We all know they have a history of going after players that we're (apparently) interested in.It would be the ultimate kick in the teeth for us.
