The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

True. I think best way to look at it is Ozil's body lingo. It's obvious to any amateur shrink that he's clearly unhappy at Arsenal. He has repeated at least 3 times in the last few months that Mourinho is "the best manager I've ever had".
Bit weird considering he's had 2 years under Le Clown no? :rubchin:
Do you think Ozil is satisfied supplying a static donkey like Giroud? Or taking the massive step down of playing in CL semis and league title challenges to CL humiliation, no title challenge and a satisfactory domestic cup?

It's no surprise that Ozil wants out...Wenger fooled him - If he played Ozil (a world class player) in his best position we would see a much better/happier player..unfortunately wenger doesn't have the ability to play all the players in their best positions - besides we have too many alike players who want to play through the middle...

wenger = clueless.

Being reported Nacho Monreal has signed for Bilbao for €10m.
Moyes' Socidedad have bid €9m for Joel Campbell.
If Arsene can sell them both, then he'd have brought in £18m in sales (Podolski, Monreal, Campbell).
And he'd have spent just £11m on Cech.
That's a £7m profit. Wonderful stuff, great business!
I think with transfer genius like that we'd be in for a wonderful season. I think Arsene has to sell because we've got no money and are quite poor these days, so FairPlay. Miracle worker!

Campbell was just a drain on the wage bill so I have no probs with him being sold.
Monreal is a slightly different scenario - without question he is a better defender than gibbs. but is he good enough ? I would say that he isnt at the level we should be expecting. That being said, to buy a left full (when we are ok at that position) before/instead of tackling actual team needs (DM and striker for starters), would be rank bad management and is wenker's default mode  I like to think that I keep a reasonable eye on european football (although not as much as I used to :( ), but I have to admit that I have never heard of the napoli left back that we are being linked with :?

Selling Monreal off the back of a very good season for us is foolish. We don't need the money.

Should sell Gibbs since he's English and therefore, overrated.

You do know he can hop on a flight and join them at any time right? It's like saying De Gea must be staying at ManYoo since he'd out there in the US with them?

I have to say I don't get the logic: Monreal was pants for a year, then got used to the league a bit and improved a lot. Now he's finally used to the league and has improved, you'd sell him, and use the fee to replace him with yet another player ego would need time to get used to the league?
Especially when Gibbs is gash and clearly should be hooked before Monreal?

There are rumors that an Italian player from a Non league academy in the Southern Italy is going to play to Arsenal with U/21 team .
Do you confirm it ?

Akpom with a hat-trick today...the search for a striker is over before it begins...any signing would just stunt his development!!!
