Well thank the lord above for that....I can sleep easy tonight knowing that we won't be denied a last 16 pasting next seasonamazonas wrote:From Wiki: "Starting with the 2015–16 edition, the winners of the UEFA Europa League will be entered into the Champions League, initially at the level of the playoff round, ensuring group stage participation in either competition. Arsene's bottom must be chewing on his undies at the very thought of that.
So yeah, apparently we have a seat more than the wonderful season where, despite the horror of Chelsea winning, Spuds missed out on their hard-earned 4th place trophy

And as for keeping faith in his current squad WTF

It's just excuse after excuse after excuse and yet he is 'entitled' to decide when he leaves according to some, he's actually throwing the towel in terms of transfers already and yet you can bet your arse none of the other managers of our rivals are thinking like this.
One of the reasons the transfer window will be tough is because of you, you deluded old

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger said: “If you look at the top three teams, you will see they have not changed their team a lot. We have to strengthen our squad but it’s not obvious to find the players despite the money the English clubs will have. We are already working but we have to find the players and that is not easy.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
If he doesnt spend heavily and make massive changes. Then he has no right to ask for the Arsenal fans support. It was unfathomable he didnt add any outfield players before this season, and if he doubles down and does it again - then he is simply doing it to prove a point that he is the boss and doesnt listen or care what others think.
He is much a miserable old fool. Why does he feel the need to test the fans like this? Is this his petulant way of saying 'I cant hear you' to criticism - another way of sticking your fingers in your ears and stomping your feet when being told some hard truths.
He is making it all about him. He wants to simply to prove a point. He doesnt feel he owes it to the club, the fans, and players like Sanchez, Ozil, Cech to add more quality around them, he has his own vision and to hell with everything else.
This is what really infuriates me the most about him. Its not his rubbish tactics or poor results, its his attitude of thinking he is bigger than the club, and that he deserves unconditional support, no make that unconditional obedience from the fans.
He is asking for it, if he doesnt make massive changes. And its about time he gets given it. The banners are too polite, and he needs to be jeered during matches, not after them. Even if we beat Palace - the team should get booed.

As predicted..right on cue.Wenger said the exploits of Tottenham and Leicester showed that he did not have to spend big to get back into the Premier League title race.

That's it lads............build all your hopes on idea that le cock will go out and spend big this summer and finally turn things around, and then when the transfer window is closed ye will finally have the realisation that we are a month and a half into the new season and ye will be stuck with him for another season
On a personal note I hope that he buys absolutely NOBODY - for starters he will be wasting money buying players that he will not know how to utilise and will be wasting money on players that a future manager might not want. Secondly, there are far too many dickheads that will be back on his side should he spend money, and they will then support the plan to give him a new contract - it wont dawn on them that he is still the same tactically stupid, senile arrogant c.unt who hasn't been able to motivate his players for years, and there is no amount of money that he can spend that will mask his shortcomings
F.uck off NOW wenker you horrible arrogant c.unt

I love the fact that he still reefer's to coquelin as "young" - he is 25 years old ffs and is still nowhere near top quality and in all honesty he never will be
I also love the fact that he says that we are going the right way - there are thousands upon thousands of footie fans across the globe who will piss themselves laughing at that bullshite statement

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Arsenal fans hijack another twitter poll and get Ozil named player of the year on same online poll.
Why isnt this level of activism being applied to pressure the manager? Instead of voting Jack Wilshere's average goal v WBA goal of the season, why not do something meaningful and pressure Wenger and the board, and let them know how much they are failing and letting the fans down.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Anybody foolish enough to think that we might have the bottle to win a title should have seen the writing on the wall at Southampton.
We were sitting pretty at the top after a couple of great performances and results against City and Olympiakos, and we were absolutely eviscerated by an off-form mid-table side. We've become numb to these drubbings to an extent but take a step back and think about that. 4-0. At Southampton.
Same old flaws, same old story and same old games which have undone us. Not beating Pochettino's Spurs, 1 point against Koeman's Southampton, turned over at home to Swansea, 0 points against Chelsea, limp-dicked defeat at Old Trafford, not winning at Stoke when we needed to.

In total this will be Wenger’s 13th season finishing empty handed ((unless there is a Leicester and Spurs collapse)
Clearly this man deserves to leave when he decides to
13 years takes us back to 2003
since then we have won
Premiership 2004
FA Cup 2005
FA Cup 2014
FA Cup 2015
I don't want to be accused of defending AW as I also want a change at the top but the statement quoted above isn't really accurate is it? I don't think you can call winning 4 trophies in that period finishing 'empty handed'.
that in itself may not be enough trophies won in 13 years, Nobody would doubt that.
Those trophies don't include 3 charity shields (although this doesn't really mean much at all given that it is essentially only a friendly. (Incidentally we've won 17 other friendly tournaments in that time include the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust Challenge Cup!)![]()
I'm all for reasonable criticism but lets not re-write history to suit an argument.
In Wenger's 20 years at the club, he has won trophies in 7 of them ... and won nothing in 13 of them.
The point of my post really was to show that Wenger hasnt taken us anywhere we hadnt already been many times over. What he has won us, we already had plenty of. And in some cases like Europe he hasnt even matched what was done before.
Im not trying to belittle what he has done. But for all the worship of him, he is not out equivalent of Shankly building something at Liverpool, or Revie at Leeds, Clough at Forest etc.

Not only that but of all the trophys won with Wenger as manager, how many have been with a squad comprised of only his own players.........?
Two. Yes only two.
FA Cup 2014 and 2015
Every other trophy won under Wenger hes had players inhereted from George or Rioch.
