THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

yes, without wenger a club of our prestige would surely be slumbering around midtable with the likes of west brom, stoke and swansea.

a club that generates more matchday income than any other in world football, has a london location, a 60,000 stadium, and a whole squad of internationally capped players would surely flounder around in midtable playing dull, long ball football.

do these akb wankers even like Arsenal? why are they always trying to discredit our club and it's history? Image

http://metro.co.uk/2016/04/14/arsenal-f ... y-5817059/ he was shit when he was at the club, but at least this reveals some of crackpots methods when it comes to coaching a defence.

"I know it's hard but I want to play like this." And I've now discovered after a decade that it doesn't work... but we'll keep playing like this because it's my club, so my rules. Also if I change it will send out a message that I was wrong and everyone knows I'm never wrong... so lump it. The guy has an ego bigger than the club itself. I hope when he does eventually leave it is in disgrace.

It's a big ask, and huge expectation but,,,,,,

If the Mousers and $hitty win their Euro comps then, 4th place isn't good enough this year.
What a dilemma, huh?

It's almost irrational to hate people you don't actually know and have never met but I am beginning to fucking hate this guy.WHY the f*** would it "prove difficult" to strengthen his present squad?? I'll tell you why... because he's assembled a group of adopted sons who he is scandalously overpaying. These guys keep him in a job, not because of their footballing skills but because of their loyalty. This fucking twat now owns Arsenal. The club belongs to him, he'll do with it as he pleases and he'll leave when he pleases.

I almost feel if I was close enough to him at one of his BS press conferences I would try hit him :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
Funny isn't it? when the annual fans shit storm brews as our season unravels Wenger repeats his usual get out "judge me in May".
Yet before May is here he wants to talk about next season, as if this one is no longer an issue.

His "judge me in May"... is did I get you CL football again or not. That's all it is, otherwise let's judge him now, there is nothing else left but CL qualification. He thinks because it's the be all & end all for him, we feel the same way. The reality is there is nothing in the CL for us fans. The club get money and this arsehole notches up his 50th year of qualification on the bounce. Who gives a F***??

It is boring. Watching the same mistakes and mismanagement happen every season for eight years.

What a damning indictment from Squillaci on The Old Fraud's total lack of respect for the art of defence (and Squillaci was a fucking disgrace as a defender and shamelessly took his wages for the full three years when he should have fucked off after 18 months. The wanker wouldn't even go out on loan, FFS).

TOF will no longer change the style of play from this 2-8-0 sideways abomination. No pace, no power, no defence, no penetration. Getting murdered on the counter at one end, while we pass it sideways around the box at the other end. His obsession with youth and bang average players (and overpaying them) continues unabated. Seriously, what fucking hope do we have while he stinks the place out here? Fuck off, you old cunnt!

I wasn't mentioning him to say he was a quality player, I was mentioning him because he offered an insight into what life is like as a defender at Arsenal.

Just watching Aguero complete his hat trick... pacy, alert, great control, bristling with menace...... compare him to that strutting peacock Giroud, or Walcott the headless chicken.

But it will be difficult to strengthen says the Old Monster. That is what he's become, a fucking monster.
