He gets on with what?In 10 seasons he has scored 58 league goals. At any other top club with a manager with half a brain he would have been out the door a long time agomarkyp wrote:maybe but at least hes not a jumped up arrogant tosser Charlie big potatoes like so many,he keeps his head down and gets on with itIW8Goalmachine wrote:He comes across as the most boring man alive in his interviews

Agreed. His anodyne comments and clean cut image means he has a long career in punditry ahead of him, so prepare to be bored by him for years to come.IW8Goalmachine wrote:He comes across as the most boring man alive in his interviews
He also has this annoying habit of saying ''like I say'... or ''like I said''. If you've already said it then you dont need to say it again FFS!
And like many footballers he keeps using the word ''obviously''. If its obvious ... dont say it! Say something that isnt obvious ... if you can?!

just like that count jermaine jenas. about as insightful as toast has no experience of been there done that (not that necessarily a good pundits makes), he's only on there to tick a box for the bbc and cos he looks 12.

Walcott ramping up his PR shite in England week...instead of keeping focused and performing on the pitch
When will he ever learn FFS

He has managed to put together a few performances where he only hides for 90% of the game - finally fulfilling his potential after a decade

The answer to the question is right wing. Walcott best position is right wing.

See him claiming he might have "given up a few Arsenal secrets" for the good of the England team?Redarmy wrote:Walcott ramping up his PR shite in England week...instead of keeping focused and performing on the pitch

Two things here;
1. What secrets? If anyone can't figure out our One Very Obvious Plan (we'll call it "A"

2. That statement by him shows where his real ambition lies. Not with the club paying him £140K a week.

Re: WALCOTT - which position is best etc?
I especially liked this bit that was on the sky website's live report of the England game last night
"SLOVENIA 0-0 ENGLAND
64: SAVE!! Townsend does more in one minute that Walcott did in 63. He shifts the ball onto his left foot and whips an effort from 22 yards towards the bottom corner. It was probably going wide but Oblak pushes it clear"

In fairness though when a ball boy threw the ball back to an England player for a throw-in he too did more than Walcott.augie wrote:I especially liked this bit that was on the sky website's live report of the England game last night

Was watching Walcott closely ........Seemed to have a look on his face as if he was petrified half the time.....his performance was embarrassing
Re: WALCOTT - which position is best etc?
Chris Sutton having his say.....
He said, “All the fuss about Theo Walcott this season — I don’t get it.
“People are saying he is a changed player. He is neither clever nor creative and he was completely ineffective once again for England.
“The Arsenal man has no guile and didn’t link up at all or put any decent crosses in all night. His pass appreciation is desperately poor and his defensive clearance just after half-time summed his night up
Find it hard to argue against that statement
