So Jonny Evans has to choose between us and City.....hmmmmm tough one.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Its a fucking joke isn't. Remember RvP who bagged 31 goals and was sold for "footballing reasons" for £25m. His market value back then even was still double that amount.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 6:55 pmNow that's how you deal with a want away player - 145m quid??? Fucking hell. They'll actually strengthen the squad of the back of it for a net spend of 20 million with Van Dijk already in and Lemar to follow. Now that's how to run a football club.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 5:22 pmI see another one of our 'nearly signed XI' will retain his place in that team, when Lemar signs for Liverpool as Coutinho buggers off to the land of card waving fairies. Hopefully he'll be able to supply our nearly signed goal machine Higuaín with the assists he needs !
I thought it was going to be more and more common to see players running down their contracts and walking away for nothing![]()
Also worth nothing that Couthino would only go to Barca and Barca were the only club in for him yet Liverpool still held out for a massive fee.
When we were in the EXACT same situation with Cesc we fucking capitulated for peanuts.
Plus when you see the size of this fee it really hammers home how much money we are going to shit away when Ozil and Sanchez walk away from THE BANTER CLUB for sweet fuck all![]()
Wenger is a useless tool but this is where the wider board and executive team come into the crosshairs for me, as it happens every fucking time. I remember Gazidis proudly boasting about his fantastic commercial and marketing team - well they've consistently sold us short off the pitch every time, and relied on the fans to make up the difference by fleecing us at every opportunity.
Oh how we laughed when Sol ran down his contract at the Shitole but look at them since then - 80m or so for Bale, and every one of their prized assets like Kane, Alli etc all signed on long term contracts even though they are being paid less than they would be at any of the other top six clubs
Kroenke and Gazidis are presiding over a fucking circus at our place, and that senile old c.unt is merely a spoke in the wheel
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Its basically a choice between being a bit part player being paid 150k per week but having your final career chance to win some more silverwarerodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 9:05 amSo Jonny Evans has to choose between us and City.....hmmmmm tough one.
Or....be equally well rewarded, be a regular, have no chance of winning any trophies whatsoever, no pressure and coming into a team where you'll have to organise the defence your self as the coaching team certainly won't help you in that regard

It will no doubt end up like the Kante saga-where Wenker comes out after not signing him and blames the greater financial reward offered elsewhere, not for one second even considering he is a busted flush, with no in game management skills and despite being coach of the decade, can’t actually coach as conformed by the great Tony, Tony Adams, ooh-ooh.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 10:01 amIts basically a choice between being a bit part player being paid 150k per week but having your final career chance to win some more silverwarerodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 9:05 amSo Jonny Evans has to choose between us and City.....hmmmmm tough one.

He couldn’t even pursuade Jamie Vardy to leave Leicester last year.
The end is nigh, just not sure which goes first Wenker or the whole club.

So much for his comment a few weeks ago when he said ' I will be active in the January Transfer Window '
the lying cuntslop
BBC Website: "Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the club are not close to making any more January additions after they "signed a Greek boy" - 20-year-old defender Konstantinos Mavropanos. "

Active, will include selling Sanchez and Wanutt, and sending 2/3 youth players on loan.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 1:53 pmSo much for his comment a few weeks ago when he said ' I will be active in the January Transfer Window '

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
It was part of the plan all along to sell him in January. Any other manager with balls would of played him in the Europa so he’d be cup tied.
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Just like RvP as soon as he leaves he is a champion..

If the club can still sell out* next season in the face of all this and with Wenger still around then I give up, our fans are just mugs.
*by sell out I mean sell the tickets rather than people actually going to games

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I think City are nuts to sign Sanchez. They have blown everybody aside playing lightning quick, fluid football. They move the ball around until they find an opening to probe and rely on technical players like silva and de bruyne to unpick defences.
Sanchez has (this season aside) carried us for years and is undoubtedly an excellent player but couldn’t be further from that mould. If he gets the ball in a decent position the first thing he wants to do is get his head down, try and skin two players and whack it in the far corner.
It’s great that he wants to bolster the squad despite being so dominant and I know Jesus is injured for a while and that Sanchez is undoubtedly a very good player, but does anybody think he’ll actually fit in there?

The flip side of that is that passing the ball to de bruyne, david silva, aguero and sane, would surely be more appealing than passing the ball to giroud, wellshit, wally, ramsey or xhaka

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
I agree with augie on this - I think Sanchez would be a different player with better players around him. How many times have we seen him look up, see Feo or Ramsey or Elneny and then check back and look for the more difficult pass to Ozil? You surround Sanchez with the players citeh have and he will be a revelation. With Sanchez (and Ozil) it's a case of "needs must". The great managers build great teams by adapting effective systems to the qualities of their players, Wenger wedges players into his shit tippy tappy bastardised version of total football....augie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:57 amnorthbank123 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:32 amI think City are nuts to sign Sanchez. It should also be recognised that with us he is having to drop deeper to get the ball and hassle opposition players practically on his own, but with citeeh all their players work hard so he wont be on his own and will also receive the ball higher up the pitch
