The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Mahrez and Kante fucking off leaving the chav with the anti friction wanking bandage on his lonesome would be hilarious to be fair.

For that reason alone I hope the deal happens.

Considering - :?
Consider yourself - Appropriately sang by Dodger in the musical Oliver - suitable line being -
At the Arsenal - 'there isn't a lot, to spare'
Regardless of the bull**** I'd take these cause he ain't gonna change the philosophy of just trying to outscore the opposition :barscarf:

I heard on the radio last night at silly O'clock that the Mahrez deal was done and dusted - £40m apparently.

I call total bullshit until I see him in the shirt.

Mahrez is quality and with him on one side and Sanchez on the other even Giroud cannot fail to fill his boots. He is pissing all over Celtic who in theory are season ready with their CL qualifiers.

What's with the physique thing, most of our players are smaller than Mahrez especially in midfield.
And those "one season wonders" (Kante, Mahrez, Vardy) did the one thing that Arsenal haven't done for 12 years - won the bloody league!
One season wonder ( Mahrez possibly) V Ten seasons of potential ( Theo definitely) mmmm hard choice!!!
Could it not be argued that Ramsey has been a one season wonder for us?
Certainly could. But his form in the Euros may suggest playing to his strengths in a proper system (I know, it's Arsene's Arsenal we live in) he is a good player..Ramsey himself has a lot to answer for, he got carried away with his great season..
As opposed to having more heart for his country over his club? I don't buy all this out of position bullshit. Ramsey was out on the right quite a lot for Wales like he is for us.

One of the main men for Wales and looks good.

Bang-average squaddie for us and not up to the required level I'm afraid.

Dear old Arsene's "top players ask do you play in the Champions League" not quite applying to Mahrez or Kante then

Just like a couple of years back when Pellegrini and Moyes were taking up their new roles, shit for brains had a whole month or so to get deals done and get ahead of the game

Roll forward to today when Maureen, Conte and Pep are all freshly appointed and we're still dithering around watching everyone else make their move. There really can be no more frustrating team to support during transfer windows. Our whole commercial team and manager are an absolute fucking joke. Are we really going to limp through pre-season and approach that first game with the Mickeys with Akpom up front?

players like kante & mahrez know that in order to win the big trophies, you don't come to wenger's arsenal. when theres another club with a top manager, ambition and more recent pedigree that's where you go.

Per's making excuses already, however he's going to be in trouble with AW for not towing the party line about transfers:

Final statement says it all, think even he is genuinely worried for next season :banghead:

Said it a while back and I will say it again, I hope the old c.unt doesn't buy as much as one more player this transfer window - most of the top players have moved at this stage, and the best of the rest are either gonna be more than le cock will spend, or will have no interest in coming to a club like ours :( Wenker will then buy so no mark average joe and will defend the move citing a lack of available players (that's what happens when you decide to play poker instead of getting your business done early   ) and we will be left with yet another overpaid sub standard shite draining the finances out of the club

Of course failing to buy any quality players SHOULD finally see the house come crashing down on wenker this season - some suggest that failing to get top 4 will result in claims that wenger is the best man to get us back in the top 4 next season, but the reality is that this could be a collapse of massive proportions and if that happens nothing will save wenker

I put that link on the wenger thread and I too interpreted his comments as a defiance of wenger - say what you like about the BFG (and I too don't think that he should be a starter anymore), but germans don't do a loser/second place attitude, and will expect the club to aim higher
