SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign
Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
I wouldn't get bend out of shape about the Suarez non-bids - they are absolute bs. We haven't bid nor will we ever bid for him. Maybe at 5p, but not for £30 million.
I agree with those who feel that we will get no one in this transfer window. I have seen this many times before to think anything different. If we do get someone in, it will be at the expense of league points and only after we (if we do) qualify for the CL.
So the point remains - what the hell do we even bother qualifying for the CL if we don't strengthen the squad with that money...

Sometimes i just give up.Do you really believe we really want to sign him?.Its another Gazidis/Wenger wind up.Suarez will not and never will be an Arsenal player.1.He wants to play abroad.2.he wants to win major trophies.3.Suarez is worth £40m. That rules Arsenal out on all countsnut flush gooner wrote:Suarez can fuck off. Two seasons and he'll be putting himself in the shop window again.
I cannot stand the geezer at all levels. Do we really want someone who is a proven racist and blatantly thinks its ok to bite another players arm in full glare of the tv cameras. Then starts crying when a club with values like pool distance themselves from him. This is Arsenal not some small time small minded football club.
We do things with class, suarez is anything but.
Tomorrow we are after Ronaldo and on wednesday Messi

Whether I believe it or not doesn't matter. We are linked with the player which is bad enough in my books, even if that is just hot air press speculation. And no I don't fall for AFC spin but what gets my goat up is the spuds not only seem to be linked with decent players but they get quite a few. If we dont take heed from last season its just a matter of time before we fall into the shit.donaldo wrote:Sometimes i just give up.Do you really believe we really want to sign him?.Its another Gazidis/Wenger wind up.Suarez will not and never will be an Arsenal player.1.He wants to play abroad.2.he wants to win major trophies.3.Suarez is worth £40m. Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
He's one of those players who would cost far more than he's worth to buy. Just like Rooney. Liverpool would demand something silly like in excess of £50m to sell him to us if we were interested. In any event never ever ever going to happen.
And while I'm not naive enough to labour under the impression that most PL footballers are actually good blokes and role models and realise that we are a football team and not Nobel Peace Prize winners, this bloke is just so much of an unpalatable prick that it would alter my views on signing him.

I assume we're just trying to flush RMadrid out with BS offers
they don't want Higuain, we wanna give the impression we're willing to look elsewhere

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
idea, if we're buying Higgy why not ask for Kaka on loan?
perfect for him - he could win a place in the Brazil team with some good CL performances

The thought of Cazorla and Suarez playing together is VERY Exciting...yes, yes yes, I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it ain't gonna happen...BUIT if "IF"...dream on lad dream on....
gazidis & law u useless tossers...bring back Dein he'll show you how to operate in the transfer market. Let him do all the wheeling dealing...we'd have a decent team by now.

How does it flush Madrid out? If anything it shows the money is there to pay what they want.
It's just another low bid to show the gormless that the club are 'trying'
Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Going to lay it on the line here with all these rumours flying around about forwards I will put my money on that we will end up with Michu .

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
I would class myself as a cynic when it comes to Wenger/ Galzidis / Arsenal and tranfers, but I have to admit that the Suarez bid coupled with the "imminenent" arrival of Higuain is very positive, in terms of our intentions.
Even I don't think Wenger would be party to a deliberate "low bid bluff"
I am probably lining myself up for a major disappointment, but maybe we are going to have a very rewarding transfer window.

He is very marmite but if he joined Arsenal it would be on the love side for me but not in a gay way .Tomáš wrote:Don't understand the Suarez bit...overrated player in my eyes.
