Just wait till the week before the match mate - you just know that Arse.com will have a build up special tribute to one of the 'club legends' and on matchday itself there'll be a rousing reception and the "We Love U Xhaka" placards on display! You've got a few months to let the excitement build yetDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:36 pmSteveO 35 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 10:12 amAbsolutely hate pre-season and the transfer window - one long yawn

Eberechi Eze to Arsenal is a deal both the player and Mikel Arteta are pushing hard for, per close sources. Arsenal set to go all out to secure the Crystal Palace star. Another source claims this will be a deal that WILL be done.
Arsenal currently trying to get lower upfront fee than the 35m after positive talks today!
Meeting in London next week with his agents

Rodders posted exactly what I was going to say but I have great respect for Augie but he needs to chill out a bit and not get wound up on rumours.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:32 pmrodders999 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 3:10 pmGotta love the Augster.
Top of this page - post about Nwaneri signing a new contract - it’s only a rumour folks, who knows if it’s true or not, until we hear something official let’s chill.
Bottom of page - rumour that we are asking palace to drop their asking price for Eze - FUCK SHIT FUCK BASTARD DIE C.UNT
That’s some 180 in about 6 posts![]()

But in fairness, he knows his football.
And I've met him IRL. He's one of the nicest politest quietest chaps you could meet. A gentleman.![]()
It seems he tends to rather believe the negative stories rather than the positive e.g. Nwaneri signing which has been all over respected sources.

We have signed six players and three contract extensions so far ,we're hardly dragging our heels. It light years from the shit we're used to.augie wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 8:46 amrodders999 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 3:10 pmGotta love the Augster.

BBC Online, The Athletic and Metro are all running with that story now about AFC refusing to meet (what is imo a very reasonable) release clause - there is no excuse for that imo if it is true. Even before they tried it a few years ago I was a big advocate of the transfer window being closed as soon as the season starts, and I am still a big believer in it - how the fcuk can any manager plan a team shape/system knowing that 3 weeks in players can be parachuted in or out of the club in a matter of hours ?? Of a normal off season I am screaming at the club to get our business done early to allow new players time to bed in to new dressing room and tactics before the season starts, but this season when we have manure, dirty leeds and the murdering scousers in our first 3 games, I would have felt it imperative to have our squad settled by now but its likely it isntAgain as a strong advocate of eze in the 10 I have to ask is the cone boy delaying signing him in the hope that the cowardly captain does well enough in those 3 games to keep him in the team ? Loyalty has got in the way of the man doing the job properly in the past, so I certainly wouldnt rule it out. Personally I would want us to be at our strongest to get off to a good start on day 1 but for whatever reason it seems we are going to drag our heels now for few weeks
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Take us for a beer first you tight bastard!!I will have rodders and TeeCee suck off the entire Fulham board if they make this happen.![]()

Quantity not quality - we signed a 31 year old norwegian midfielder, a chav reject winger no-one else wanted, a chav keeper that couldnt win the number 1 spot against some of the worst keepers in chav history and a spanish defender who none of us heard of up to two months ago
