THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He really is deluded, i don't want to think my club could win today, i want to think my club will win today

He is so totally out of touch with how the fans think it is embarrassing :banghead:

Lol, I was just going to post that same link. I read that article and thought the OG would get a kick out of it.

Forward huh? What's our point total compared to the last few seasons? Someone should tell Wenger the difference between Forward and Reverse before he seriously injures a pedestrian.

Ignore the league table. Doesn't count.
Instead look at the "process and quality"
When you marry that to our "expected goals" and "stability" it's beautiful baby!
I was going to mention 63 years of consecutive Top 4 then just realised I told you to "ignore the table". Positions don't count now

When The Lamppost misses another three sitters on Saturday, then surely the Expected Goals Trophy will be ours ?

I got one of those e-mails too and it told me that they would get their editor to contact me if I was willing to write for them
To be honest I thought that it was a piss take from some of our mods (am thinking mainly db10, spuddy and flash) trying to get back at me for posting on their locked thread

Whilst watching it is said I'd give my left bollock for us to be like that...back to the 1-0 to The Arsenal days.
Then I had an image of Simeone trying to whip our supporters up into a frenzy...to be met by an uncomfortable shuffling of feet as people head off to beat the rush to the tube.

I wonder if the Athletico fans are upset that they don't play beautiful, quality football.... or the Leicester fans come to think of it, do you think those clubs fans would give up winning the league or being joint first for more quality?

I know i fcuking wouldn't

I think the argument that nobody can compete with the super teams of Bayern, barca and real to justify us getting buttholed every season in the champions league has completely fallen flat on its face the past couple of weeks,it goes to show that organisation, desire and a good manager go a long long way,WENKER OUT!!

The Arsenal Supporters’ Trust commission an annual poll of fans’ and are preparing a new survey to distribute to 3,000 fans just as soon as the season ends.

A similar poll last year was of fewer than 700 fans but did actually record Wenger’s highest ever approval rating when 84 per cent either agreed or strongly agreed that their longest-serving manager was still the right man to be leading Arsenal.
This a bit like when Mugabe recorded a 92% approval rating in Zimbabwe last year? I mean ignore those starving destitute people on the streets, you can't possibly consult them for such polls

sad but true.....

Clinched that before Christmas already. Got that one in the bag early, didn't want to be competing for too many VT's in Feb :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I think you give us mods waaaaay too much credit for effort!!

Alot of punters got them, including me. I asked Gonner.Ed if he knew anything about them etc as I also thought "SPUDDY wind-up" and Kev agrees it most likely ain't legit. It's a scam or a wind up deffo.

Maybe a few held some hope Wenger would come to the realization the current state of things is not working and major changes are needed.

But there he goes again, talking about 'progress' being made in the last two years.

The media and a dwindling number of fans keep saying we 'need to get behind Wenger'. But why get behind him when he is going to drive us off a cliff again? Wenger is leading us around in circles and often into a cold ditch. Why should we follow and support him?

He has no right to ask for support. No right.
