Daily Mail are reporting this morning that Eze's release clause at Palace expires today - I know reports earlier in the week suggested that his price wont go up after the clause expires, but the Mail seem to be suggesting that they wont want to sell him after it expires and it will be a big boost for them in their hopes of keeping him if he doesnt leave today. The same paper also suggests that we value Eze at less than the £68m - of course we do cos traditionally england international players are all as cheap as chips
Well firstly I wouldn't believe a word the Daily Fail print tbh, but if that is the case, then I think it is extremely amateurish of the club to not trigger the release clause if the manager wants him, especially given the quoted £68m is nothing for a player like him (and English to boot) if we are splashing £50m+ on a player that cost the chav £30m+ and failed miserably there (he may come good at our place, but he was shit at the chavs).

Any other supposed "big" club would just get this deal done but our fuckwads always have to piss about.

I wonder has anyone considered offering an extra one pound? :rubchin:

I do tend to agree with Steveo about eze everyone seems to suddenly think he's a world beater!

Yea he's decent but hardly a game changer on the left at least. Better than captain milksop but he won't play ahead of him and I'd rather nwaneri plays than we sign eze as comp for the coward.

We need a proper left winger as trossard and martinellis are gash comparatively. I don't think that player is rodrygo as not sure how he would adapt. Maybe leao is realistic as a game changer despite my reservations about end product. The best signing would be Gordon but I don't think I could watch our games seeing that face over 90mins week in week out, and Newcastle wouldn't sell unless silly money

#Arsenal value Eberechi Eze at under £60m and are hoping to pay a similar package to the £55m paid by Newcastle to Nottingham Forest for Anthony Elanga. [@JacobsBen]

I haven't seen anyone (on here) say Eze is a world beater, but for sure he is a 'Game Changer' (for the better), he is an exciting player to watch and has scored q quite a number of Important Goals for Palace the past 2 seasons...

If Edueke is worth £52 million in todays market, then Eze is worth far more

I sometimes wonder at the way our Transfer Team value Players and do business.

That is true, but our creative attacking midfielder going missing makes it nigh on impossible to break low block - Eze wont stick to the right wing and he will find pockets of space behind opposition midfield to receive the ball and slide passes through to forward line. Also having a c.unt dithering on the ball allows opposition teams too much time to get set up positionally for a low block system - having a creative midfield that see's the runs and releases the ball faster will give our attackers a better chance of breaking through

Apparently there is a Petition On-line by some ScouseFilth Fans saying that they are being Victimised and turning down their offer has left them feeling robbed and taken advantage of by the Head Choppers.

I mean FFS!

Either way one set of cûnts is going to be pissed off. Dippers shown up to be unable to attract their main targets or Choppers shown up as the small club that they always have been and always will be. Fuck em both. He was worth £85m two years ago, not sure I'd pay anywhere near that now with his injures and amount of games missed.

To me the dippers made a stick to beat themselves with - you can be all billy big bollox paying massive money for an unproven german kid (wirtz) and brag about being able to nab him from under citeeh's nose, plus you can use your media friends to push the propaganda boasting about how much you can spend and still be under FFP rules, but then dont be all shocked when other clubs try to take advantage of all that financial power you have 8)

Personally I would have supported AFC spending maybe £110m-£120m but not a penny more - a great striker when fit no doubt, but his injury record is a major red flag imo

🚨 Exclusive: Liverpool have no plans as it stands to bid again for Alexander Isak this window.

Nature of #NUFC’s rebuttal means Liverpool will NOT follow up with a second offer.

Regarded as futile unless Newcastle change their stance and contact Liverpool.

Offer rejected was £110m. Terms with Isak not a problem.
