I would have been mortified if we'd spunked £49m on Sterling, and £32.5m for the new Greedybarndoor in the form of that useless streak of piss Benteke....words fail me as to how much money the Mickeys spurn on overrated shite.

Schneiderlin for £25m? Possibly but wouldn't lose sleep over it

There are better options than all of that lot
Agree that there are better options, but are we likely to sign any of them ?

Walcott's contract has all gone a bit quiet hasn't it ?
One year left, so he either resigns or we sell at £35m ( but who to now as City have got Sterling and the bin dippers have wasted their "transfer warchest"as much this year as last year, so unless Chelski think he is good enough for them his options are limited, as I can't see him abroad.

Marca claim Faouzi Ghoulam has agreed to join Arsenal & the move should be completed within a week. This will allow Monreal to join Bilbao.

Isn't it great for future Sunderland players to get a few quid in the bank before embarking on a continuous relegation battle at the Stadium of Light. ?

I'd prefer we got shot of Gibbs - Monreal has his deficiencies but he is much better and more reliable than Gibbs.

Looks like Pedro is off to Utd as a replacement for the unsettled Di Maria for £22m.

Various.

Arsene is waiting on the only 2 players who could improve us: Ronaldo or Messi. Them aside, if neither of those 2 sign for us then there's nobody worth getting who is better than what we have.

Can't be arsed reading back but have people been praising van Gaal for not giving in and selling his best players like we have?

Joke will be on that arrogant prick when the talk for the next 10 months is all about de Gea and he walks out for nowt.

I could mount a title challenge with that squad he inherited and hte money he has been given to piss up the wall. Prick.

Would anybody else settle for William Carvalho, Benzema and some youth project as our lot for this Summer?

Carvalho looks a decent prospect. He's strong and looks to have plenty of stamina and he's certainly strong in the tackle, but I've seen him a few times and he gets caught in possession quite a bit and his passing is average at best. I'd prefer a more established player. Javi Martínez, Arturo Vidal would do nicely. Other than those there doesn't seem to be many obvious candidates.

Benzema has everything he needs to be an oustanding forward, other than a consistent determination.

I'd love Lewandowski, but I guess the chances are pretty slim. I don't know much about the other names that get mentioned on these pages.
Lacazette looks decent; quick, strong, good movement, but he's not very tall and he plays in France, and we never know if we'd be getting Anelka or Aliadiere.
Reus looks a real talent, but I'm not sure if he's physically up to leading the line in the PL. Worth a gamble though.
Jese at Madrid is a real prospect, but he's a bit on the small side.

Maybe we should offer Harry Kane the chance to play in the CL???

I would have taken Delph for 8m, crazy release clause they gave him, would have come to the club and been good cover/competition for Coquelin without demanding to be first choice or on huge money.

Let's be honest, he's not going to spend 25m+ on a new DM and Delph would have been a massive upgrade on Arteta/Flamini for the new season.

8m for an England International in this crazy climate is a snip, Wenger missed a trick there as he was in his price range that he prefers to spend at.
