Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Gabriel Jesus might still have a part to play for Arsenal FC this season.

Arsenal and Crystal Palace have reached an agreement for the transfer of Eberechi Eze. Fee: £55m (£30m upfront). The 27-year-old England playmaker, hero of the 2024 FA Cup final against Man City, will join the Gunners once Palace secure his replacement. #AFC #CPFC #Transfers
Things are clear regarding the Eze deal: As I exclusively revealed, there is already an agreement between the player and the club on the transfer fee. Tottenham are also active on the case, but the player’s priority is to join the Gunners. Arsenal are simply waiting for Crystal Palace to approve the financial structure. It’s just a matter of patience now, but both clubs want to get it done quickly. #AFC #Eze #CPFC #THFC
Can't we hurry things up by selling them Odegaard??

An hour ago I did read an article online that suggested that eze wants to join us and not the scum, which is encouraging as long as we make a bid for him
The bit where ornstein suggests that we may have cooled on eze since Nwanieri signed his new deal I can get cos a properly run club would look at talents like nwanieri and dowman and do everything possible to ensure their development continues at AFC but there is also a contradiction in play here too - signing a gyokeres over a sesko for example suggests a here and now policy (which I agree with btw), and after 5 trophyless seasons there should be a real emphasis on this season and failure should result in a change of manager, and the cone boy would do well to think of that. He can (and should imo) buy eze and nwanieri can still get plenty of game time if the team is run correctly, but that would entail sidetracking ohdeargod or havitz or trossard, and would entail resting saka in those less important games, and I dont think the cone boy has the balls to do either of those things. I would also question how signing the chav reject fits in with this theory of prioritising the developments of nwanieri and dowman
Signing this guy (and especially given the fee involved) is the biggest mystery of the transfer window....and I mean throughout the PL and Europe too. Completely senseless. Up there with signing Havertz. Almost £120m spent on sub standard chav rejects...that's without the other crap signed from them.
