Just travelling home. Brilliant game, feel like i've been through a was. Ref, denilson, almunia-awful. Clichy not fit yet. Miss Song and robin. But otherwise ace. Gallas and cesc supreme. Unlike last season when we were losing to the likes of villa, it didn't feel like the players were letting the decisions or scoreline get to them. As for equaliser- everton last week?! Great atmosphere, all the way to tube. Nice haiti appeal by gallas at the end. Sagna was loving buzzing off the crowd. Notice how they all seem so together this year. Except maybe walcott and AA23! Apologies for staccato writing, on mobile. Top of the league!

Anyone slightly worried about the Diaby injury?

Its seems everytime he starts to have a run of games he ends up injured again! i think he's been fantastic in the past few weeks...

I think there's a case the ref missed this one as he didn't give a foul.

That is like saying that almunia is one of the top 3 keepers in the league   Off the top of my head I can remember him dallying in possession (again) 10 yds outside off our box and when he lost the ball he then tackled their guy from behind a gave away a free kick right at the edge of our area  I think (though I aint sure about this) that their 1st goal came from this free kick but I do no that himself and clichy both made a total balls up of clearing the ball from the danger area before cahill scored
Anyway diaby hasnt been anywhere near fantastic in the last few weeks and if you think so then you are clearly mad cos he has been largely anonymous in both the everton game and the game at the reebok and if he never played for us again I would be rejoycing :barscarf:

Granted the gallas tackle looked a bad one but I dont think there waas intent there - the bolton guy was just faster and nicked the ball away before he got there. You certainly couldnt compare it to the tackle on eduardo that was halfway up his leg

Bloody hell, what a game. Sloppy start coupled with some hit & hope "defending" for their first goal, plus they were winning the battle in the middle far too easily (come back Song!) but after 30 mins or so the boys got a hold of the game & stepped it up. A belter from TR7 followed by us correctly playing on after the ref didnt blow for Willy's challenge, wasnt a head injury so we were under no obligation to put it out.

A couple of other nice goals from Cesc & TV5 and lots of winding up of the Bolton fans before pure mayhem erupted in block 22 as Andrey smashed home  Quality.

Time to enjoy us being top of the league & hoping the boys can get some decent results from the next fortnight...

I agree - looks bad on replay but in live time it seemed gallas was just harassing and bombing all about the place, a bit headless chickeny maybe...he also went and apologised which is one thing he has over martin taylor.

Most impressed with us as I have been for a while. Not because we played really well but the manner of some of our goals was very important (and unlike us). In particular both Cesc & AA23's goals came about through desire to get through. No messing about trying to play little triangles, sheer force got them through to give them the opportunity. Made me think that the team actually really want it.

The defence is just a disaster, no organisation, panic sets in at the slightest hint of danger and caused both the goals we conceded. All we can do is just pour forward in every game and hope it's enough to accumalate the points to take us to the title. It might just be given how everyone else is struggling.

Denilson was poor again, I think I'd rather have Eastmond playing against Villa next week.

Although this sentiment is unlikely to find favour, I thought Almunia was pretty good today.

'Dons tin hat :x '

I just wish they wouldn't keep passing the ball back to him.
