Arsenal fans know the deal when it comes to transfer deals: it's only official when it's announced on Arsenal.com.

That won't change this summer. The Club website will be the first to announce any comings and goings at Emirates Stadium and the first place to watch interviews with any new signings.

But we know that transfer speculation will be rife in the build-up to the 2010/11 campaign and we intend to keep you abreast of all the gossip between now and the Big Kick-Off.

Our Transfer Linked page will feature all the rumours doing the rounds in the media so check back every day for the latest stories. Just remember to take them with a pinch of salt...

That's about the most honest thing Arsenal.com have ever said!!!

And yet they can't even see the irony in the fact that one sentence previously they were asking us to check the official website for the rumours!!!! :banghead:

Utd have been doing the same crap for the past 2 seasons just to make their fans think they are still in it with the big spenders in europe.

Pathetic from Pravda

My guess is that it will get us visiting the website to buy stuff in the end of season merchandise sale, or the "earlybird offer" to sign up for Arsenal TV

Arsene emails me after every match (8) !)and he said:
"The fans did not react well to Lukasz Fabianski at the start of the Fulham game but that is part of the learning process for him. You want the fans to be positive but I feel he has enough quality to be an exceptional keeper - he responded well and had a quality game.

It is not easy to play at such a young age under such pressure. In the last three weeks he has made progress and I believe he has huge potential.

We want to improve our quality this summer. It is not necessarily a large number of players that we need to buy but I believe you don't win the title when you concede 40 goals. Leave the transfer business to me and when you come back in July for the Emirates Cup you will see".

So that sounds like he is wedded to Flappy, but no mention of Al. I wonder if we'll pick up an older experienced (cheap!) keeper while Fabianski continues his learning.....

"Leave the transfer business to me and when you come back in July for the Emirates Cup you will see".... That's quite a statement. He has already effectively announced Chamackh so it must be more than that. If he is purely talking about a young replacement for Gallas then that's hardly an improvement....

His recent statements, along with the transfer rumours on arsenal.com, show that the club is at least aware that the natives are restless.....

Really takes some front, with him syaing we should support Flappy. Porto anyone. He's body language is always extremely poor. Even if he is reasonablly young, he certianly is reminisce to a Hackney Flat Flapper on a Sunday morning.. :x

Fabianski had a shit game and he didn't even have much to do. He flapped twice when it was easy to catch the things.

Arsene isn't afraid to loan players out - he did it with our 4th choice keeper. Maybe he needs to do the same with Flappy. Let us be convinced, with someone else picking up the tab.

In fairness though, Gomes looked like a clown for Spurs earlier in the season yet I'd pay good money for him now. Flappy obviously looks great in training so maybe will someday make the grade.....

Juventus Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon Set For Arsenal Move - Report
Gianluigi Buffon has been tipped to leave Juventus and join Premier League side Arsenal, according to Sky Sport 24.

After nine years with the Old Lady, Buffon is set to pack his bags and head for the north London club.

A dreadful league season, no Champions League, three managerial changes, three presidential changes and a worse goals against record than relegated Atalanta have got the alarm bells ringing for the Italian international.

Two weeks ago Buffon said his intention was to remain in Turin, but that he wouldn't mind moving to England should the club decide to part company with him.

And it's in the Premier League where he has the biggest following. Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all keen.

United are looking for an alternative to Edwin van der Sar, while City are relying on their millions to attract Buffon.

But he recently said they were not considered a big enough club, and their failure to qualify for the Champions League has also put a downer on any move.

Thus it's Arsenal who remain in pole position. It's no secret they need a goalkeeper, and Buffon's experience fits the bill for Arsene Wenger.

That article reeks of speculation. We can all put 2 and 2 together and end up with Buffon at Arsenal.

Van der Sar has a year left on his contract and Buffon wont go there just to battle it out with him, City are not in the champions league plus they have Given who will not want to be 2nd choice.

With no other top side in Europe needing a goalie, Arsenal will be favourites but will we make a move considering there is no one to do a bidding war with :?

We wait.

We would all love to see buffon as our number 1 but there isnt a hope in hell of that happening imo and I still doubt that he will bring in a keeper at all :(

Methinks you might be surprised....I think he is going to bring in an older experienced keeper to help while Fabianski gets up to speed. Buffon fits the billl. Al out.

Ever heard the one about about the frenchman and a his need for a centre back ? Summer 2008 our esteemed manager spoke about the need and intention to bring in a centre back but of course it was a full season later and after selling another centre back before he brought in one as we leaked goals all over the shop  I no longer listen to any of wenger's bullshit and I have zero faith in his ability to see the obvious so yes I am sceptical that he will bring in a keeper but would be absolutely overjoyed if buffon was our keeper next season.

I actually think....hope....pray....that there has been a sea (is that the right spelling?) change at Arsenal.

Early announcement of Chamackh. Transfer rumours on arsenal.com. Wenger openly saying that we need to buy.... Could be a cynical ploy to get season tickets renewed, but if we get to August and the only signings are Chamackh and a promising 17 year old defender from Lens or some such place then they're setting themselves up!!

We'll see, but I honestly think that Buffon, Chamackh and Hangeland will be here in time for pre-season.....

I'll have some of what you are drinking mate

Ok this might come as a surprise to you but I am a pessimist and cynic by nature (  ) and when I see the signing of chamack the words "free transfer" are embedded in my mind and I think the link between the rumours and season ticket renewals might well have some real truth to it :( Dont you think that signing someone like buffon would be a risk to wenger personally cos he wants to sign younger players who will basically hang on his every word where as the likes of buffon (and arshavin) are experienced pro's who would not be afraid to call it as they see it ?
