Carling Cup Final Tickets
From the ticket registeration page:
Registrations for the Carling Cup Final are now closed.
Due to the popularity of this fixture, the Club has received more registrations than tickets available, therefore as previously communicated, a random ballot will be held.
The onus is on all lead applicants to view the status of their application online from 12 noon on Thursday 3rd February 2011 - there will be no email communication for this phase of the process. The registration site will be updated to indicate the status of your registered application. When accessing the site, please view the status column where one of the following classifications will be indicated against each member registration:
Successful - This means that the specific individual member is guaranteed a ticket provided it is purchased within the allotted time period.
Standby - This means that your individual registration is held pending any remaining ticket availability.
Unsuccessful - This means that you have unfortunately not been successful in the ballot.
Sorry silver and reds

Just got this response to my e-mail enquiring how Birmingham get the same amount of tickets to the final as we do, despite selling many less tickets for the earlier rounds......
Tony,
Thanks for your email. It is at Arsenal’s discretion how they sell tickets for the final.
However we work on the basis that a club requests their allocation (in this case the maximum they can receive of approx 31K each) based on what they believe they are able to sell. Birmingham indicated to The League that they would be able to sell the maximum allocation and therefore have received this.
In recent years, the only club to have requested a smaller allocation at a Carling Cup Final was Wigan when they played Man Utd in 2005/06. This was purely down to club choice and not dictated by us.
The Carling Cup Final operates in a different fashion to League matches and Clubs are given the opportunity to sell as many tickets as they can. The League attempts to assist the clubs by giving them as many tickets as we possibly can, keeping a small amount for our contractual obligations. This is reflected by the extra 6000 seats we provide them (meaning an allocation of 31,000 each) over the 25,000 seats they would receive at an FA Cup Final for example.
For further queries we can only suggest that you contact Arsenal FC themselves in relation to your specific circumstances and their ticket selling policy for the Final.

I have a fear despite Wembley's capacity the CL final will only be 22 or 23k due to Club Wembley.mikeyb772001 wrote:At least we get 31 rather than 25
Wonder how many credits you do need for FA or CL final?
I guess that doesn't matter for us anymore....

But say Wembley has a 90k capacity:
18k are gone to Club Wembley/Boxes (I think)
So that's 72K left....
Each club gets 31/32k tickets,
The other 92 clubs get 20 tickets each,
So what happens to the other tickets?
And why the bloody hell are the allocations so low for the FA Cup final?
Complete joke if you ask me

But why do sponsors need so many fucking tickets? They'll probably end up in the hands of touts ffs. Platini said when he came in that more ordinary fans would get the chance to have tickets for the final and it's evidently not the case. And The FA aren't much better. *word censored* the lot of themIceman29 wrote:You're forgetting the sponsors. Errr.....they pay the money to sponsor the event, maybe. Say if you would be paying millions to the FA, won't you want tickets to their key events in the calendar.AA23Northbank wrote:But why do sponsors need so many fucking tickets? We got 4 in block 111 row 41. Glad to hear so many of you have gone for the same section.mikeyb772001 wrote:jamjc64 wrote:7 of us all in block 111 row 27, could be the Gunners pub and online gooner section
Row 8 block 111 4 of us block 6 regulars
You must of got teh £70 seats eh Jam?
Block 111 has gone yellow now! Think its going to be thest block for noise
We are trying to book out a whole pub mate, will keep you informed!
At £70 though - and with some big games coming up - I wouldn't be at all surprised if sales were more sluggish than Arsenal are obviously expecting. They say that it's oversubscribed....but they can't actually know this yet as they don't know how many of those with 3+ will decide against it. Fingers crossed for those in the ballot.
There now seem to be two blocks sold out (although 107 was already red by the time I booked at 920am so maybe these have gone to club employees?). And seven blocks show limited availability (inc 111...).
Birmingham website says their tickets will be on general sale from Tuesday 22nd February..... And any gooners in that area who have attended one or more of their carling cup games this season (or even know someone who has!) can purchase before then:
