Can we F*ck up v Wolves?

nah think it's just stage fright. cesc never used to score much either, he got there eventually.

love the fact that Henry had to go mark Jack instead of Cesc, I didn't notice that at the time. to have two players really causing consternation to the other side, who can effectively take over from each other at any time, is awesome!

Agreed, the balance he’s added to that midfield trio has been absolutely key. Especially now Song seems less inclined to drift forward willy-nilly as well. The difference between Jack being in there rather than Denilson or Diaby just shows how much difference one quality addition can make to the team as a whole.

I totally agree that jack played well but for me cesc was motm - maybe it given to jack cos we expect cesc to shine like that where as it is jack's first season but cesc is our heartbeat and nearly everything goes through him 8) He must be a 'mare to mark cos he pops up all over the place as he links up with rvp up top one minute whilst in the next minute he is taking the ball of our centre backs to start another attack and his ball to theo for the 2nd goal was sublime 8) Will also add that I thought AA looked like he was getting back on form on saturday too 8)

On the flip side I thought that saturday summed up everything we have all said about theo.......can look devastingingly threatening but rarely delivers fcuk all :( His crossing again was largely woeful and on a few occasions he picked out the wrong option or didnt seem to get his head up to see around him :x

Wolves seemed very muted to me.......no sign of agression or trying to knock us off our game or rough us up :o Funnily enough I thought karl henry looked tidy in possession, jarvis looked threatening all day albeit with no real end product whilst doyle battled hard on his own winning a load of free kicks for his team

Agree with most of that. Though I do think Theo is a big part of the first 11 now. I would have him in the team regardless of the crossing.
His link up play with RVP is very good and he has made some important assists to go with his goals.
Just wish he could improve on his crosses.

I think Jack is what we have been missing in midfield for a long time somebody who can do both jobs, get back tackle pick the ball up deep pass it on also drive froward pushing the play past the half way line.
He also seems to have given Fabregas greater freedom in his play, Fabregas seems to have more confidence in Jack and Song sitting behind him knowing that he had Jack as an outlet to pass to and Song sitting back so if they lose the ball there is help for the defence.

Agree, we havent had such a balanced midfield since the invincibles imo - the flamini/cesc/hleb/rosicky side came close but personally i prefer our current look.

Just have to hope we get to see some tangible results from this side before we begin another process of rebuilding.
