The second this team are presented with a pressurised fixture they seem to want to be anywhere other then on the field.
Knowing the mentality that seems to engulf so many (but not all) of these players i have no doubt that they will channel the CC final loss into a reduced determination to actually get to finals as opposed to a dogmatic determination to never be on the losing side.
Its quite depressing when you think about it.

The very fact that so many Gooners were not shocked by the result and performance tells you everything you need to know now
The majority of Gooners have lost faith in this team and I would estimate that at least 50% of them have also lost faith in the manager. For me you cannot give credit to the manager for chesney just cos he signed him and then threw him into the team only when he had no other option - if that is the case then wenger should get the same "credit" for signing diaby, bendtner and denilson and playing them so so many times when he had other and better options
Ok a cuple of big decisions went against us today but the bottom line is that championship winning teams grind out wins in games like this and this team couldnt grind an oxo cube
For me if you defend the effort they put in and cite a lack of quality then you must be willing to follow that arguement through and question the man who keeps talking publicly about how good these same players are

Augie, you have just stated that championship winning teams grind out wins in these games.augie wrote:The very fact that so many Gooners were not shocked by the result and performance tells you everything you need to know nowThe majority of Gooners have lost faith in this team and I would estimate that at least 50% of them have also lost faith in the manager. Bar 2 atrocious refereeing decisions we done exactly that, we kept a clean sheet, we scored a perfectly legitimate goal, and we had a blatent penalty denied. They are 2 occasions where we would have ground out the result. For our so called fans to lose faith in the team they supposedly love and support at this stage of the season in the biggest week of the season is laughable.
Lets face it at least 75% of our home "fans" are wankers. We create no atompshere, the only time half of our fans pipe up is to let one of our players have it. If these people really believe that is the best for the team then im afraid they would be much much better off keeping there hard earned cash in there pockets and shouting at there tv screens.
We are 3 points off the top of the premier league with United at home to play, we have a massive FA Cup quarter final at Old Trafford on saturday, and we have Barca on tuesday. We should be getting behind our team, not getting on there backs.
The more away games we play the better for me, at least then you'll have the fans who want to spport the team and not get on there backs every 5 seconds.

If your not a doc you should really look into it
Good luck.frankbutcher wrote:
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for 3 points, I can tell you I don't have them. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my Arsenal go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.
Enjoy the game!
Sorry, couldn't resist! Just about to get flight to barca from Luton. Let's hope for another 0-0 draw eh!

Belated thoughts from the game... didn't get home until midnight because I went to the Eaglet after the match and fancied some chicken and chips on the way home... coupled with Southern not fancying running trains on a weekend.
So thoughts. Denilson and Diaby are both a complete joke. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing personal against them as people, it's just the fact they're shite footballers. They've both had season after season to prove themselves and both have remained shite.
Diaby tries to dribble around about 15 people before he releases a simple pass which was on five minutes previously. Denilson tracks back but then just lets the attacking player walk past him.
The defence I thought did well yesterday. Generally dealt with everything pretty well and Koscielny looked good after his nightmare final last week.
Arshavin is unfit. I don't believe he's lazy, I just watch him and think he actually cant do it. He looks constantly knackered. If he can't improve his fitness he needs to move on as you might be able to get away with it in italy or spain but the pace of the Prem is too high.
Bendtner is a waste of time and space. He gives it all the mouth about being a worldbeater and yeah he is...against Leyton Orient. I think he may come good elsewhere, but he doesn't play our style of football, and if he does say he might be best served keeping his trap shut and letting his boots do the talking.
Chamakh looked more dangerous when he came on IMO. And I don't get the decision to bring on Rosicky instead of Ramsey. Ramsey said he was ready, has been playing regularly for Cardiff, and would have been a huge boost for the crowd and players which may have seen us snatch the winner.
The referee was a complete fucking joke. Useless decision after useless decision. I know Nasri talked himself into trouble but for that to be a free kick is an absolute disgrace. It was NEVER a free kick in a million years. The offside decision was close but also incorrect and those decisions can cost you big time.
On the whole though we didn't really do enough to win IMO. Sunderland at home should be a game we just walk all over. Without Fabregas, Walcott and Van Persie, we lack any kind of cutting edge and creativity upfront and that's seriously worrying.

Once again, the Prem shows why it has the absolute, 100%, worst officials of any league of any major sport in the world. Absolute fucking garbage officiating.
I'm not big on conspiracies, but I'm really starting to wonder if there isnt some kind of bias against Arsenal in the referee community. It's really time that the FA takes a good hard look at the officiating in the Prem and does something about it. There needs to be accountability, as there is in the NBA and NFL over here. Each game the refs are reviewed and judged by a panel, and if they are proven to have called a bad game, they are demoted to lesser games.
Off the top of my head, officials have cost us 2 points against Sunderland away by adding phantom 5 minutes of stoppage, more than even the board showed. 2 points against Newcastle away by giving 2 phantom penalties, a terrible red card to Diaby, and non-red cards to Barton and that other fuck who smacked Sczezny. And then 2 points yesterday with a non-call penalty and red card as well as the offsides goal. Thats 6 fucking points, enough to change the league winner. I'm sure there were more, let's not forget the offsides goal Everton got against us at home, which we ended up winning.

took the words right outta my mouth
only exception being,i am starting to hate denilson personally.that stupid little fucking grin makes my blood boil.
he offers nothing. marking, tackling, scoring, heading, positioning.yet the c*nt has about an 88% passing rate??? oh yeah, all 5 yard sideways safe bets.
nothing personal with diaby, just dont get how wenger cant see every time he gets the ball, the play completely slows down.as was said, takes 5 mins to spot the obvious pass

Can you really call Wembley an away game? 31,000 tickets all of which were season ticket holdersTeeCee wrote:Well they certainly made the difference at WembleyThe more away games we play the better for me, at least then you'll have the fans who want to spport the team and not get on there backs every 5 seconds.
Don't ask me to sing for Dumb and Dumber to help them play better.
I don't thnk that our pampered young millionaires should need encouragement to be able do their job properly.
If they wanted to win the Premiership half as much as the fans do then some of them should be trying a little bit harder without fans singing at them.
