Not concerned at all, think its very positive. The Black Scarvers got so much abuse.SteveO 35 wrote:Don't let it bother you. We are still a minority. I think it comes down to clarity over your aims, which is I wanted 2-3 simple and precise statements. Most people have read them and think they can see some common sense in what we're asking. I don't think the Black Scarf guys deserved lots of stick, but I'm not entirely sure what they wanted either....Arsenal 1991 wrote:Not concerned at all, think its very positive. I think you and Quartz did a great job with that. I think we're nearly there with our aims just think the 1st needs rewriting and the second needs tweaking. I'll have a go, just so you know what I mean.SteveO 35 wrote:I think it comes down to clarity over your aims, which is I wanted 2-3 simple and precise statements. Not really - this is right Mr. Hill-Wood's wheelhouse really and is no different than calling George Graham on the carpet in 1991 after the brawl at Old Trafford.storrmin571 wrote:I'm beginning to think there is separation in the club if the press are to be believed hill-wood apparently criticised wenger for his outburst after Barca and have replacement managers lined up.
My guess would be that they already are lining up a replacement for 2014 and trying to make it sound like they might be thinking sooner precisely to quiet the unhappy supporters down a bit.
But I wouldn't put too much stock into this incident meaning more than it did in 1991.

you can all see that there isn't a team in the world that works to this transparent fantasy model though...?
I miss the 'good old days' to some extent (isn't that what this is basically about? if it's about the early noughties it's pure brattishness)
and I would sign up to a campaign for total financial transparency in football (would be more important to the Leeds/Pompeys of this world than us)
+ also on an old days tack would sign for safe standing and limitations on ticket price gouging
but we're 2nd "sack the manager" sounds embarrassingly childish.
I think Redknapps a decent manager *spit* but up the road he's built/got a substantially more expensive squad (bentley, modric, palacios, pavlyuchenko and defoe would each be our record signing ffs)
and I don't think they will make the CL. He has bought established players in at the back as we demand hutton, woodgate, kaboul, bassong, gomes each around £8M)
if they do the substantially more expensive Citeh won't
its a tough league
oh by the way ManUre are in a strong position, everyone hear thinks they will win the league.
If they throw it away should Fergie be sacked?
In fact if Redknapp wins nothing should he be sacked?
If he gets in the CL + no trophies he'll be lauded as a genius.
It would also be enough to keep Mancini his job despite his insane spend.
and yes I am comparing us to historically inferior clubs - because they have spent money yet failed, it shows money is no guarantee.
I'm not saying 'wenger knows' as in he is always automatically right, I want us to ship out several players
but this idea that spending money is an automatic solution is demonstrably false (I dont even think Wenger is good at spending big money)
