Cesc must quit for Barca

Just seen this.......two points

1) I can understand his will to go to Barca - the best team in Europe (on the pitch), he is not just Spanish, he is Catalan, so i get that.
But if he chooses to go there...he can fuck right off.

2) Surely a £50m bid throws Barac out the water anyway......so....a sign he could even stay?
Why does 50 million Euros blow Barca out of the water? Barca are a mega rich club whatever you might have read before. Prize money from last season alone will mean they can afford that price

But they simply wont pay it........hence their derogatory offers.

They are not a cash-rich club either, i read they still owe us money for Henry and Hleb! The bank supports them, fine, but to say they are a cash rich club is not true - they have A LOT of debt.

It would be good news as the club would have reason to reject the lower offer.

Cesc will understand that he will have to stay if Barcelona don't match it, that's how it works, Madrid could pretty much block his move.

I think that if madrid do bid that much then it can be nothing but good news 8) In contrast to bdb I will have no gripes with cesc at all if he chooses to go there rather than stay with us cos as far as I am concerned he will be going to a hugely ambitious club instead of staying with a club whose ambitions go no higher than finishing 4th each season..........not a hard choice to make really is it ? :(

As well as that I would be absolutely delighted if madrid end up buying barca's prize boy with catalan blood running through his veins  They have insulted us and cesc all along with their derisory offers and I would love it, fcuking love it if it all backfired on them as he signed for their hated rivals 8) Of course the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake is that we get in a nice lump of money for re-investment in the team

I know that he is widely derided for that interview but as a nuetral I loved his passion in that interview and I often use that quote 8) I think blaming their collapse that season on that interview was just a smokescreen for the players who bottled it in the run in against a more experienced team

Agreed, I'd much rather our manager got passionate in an interview rather than....kick or throw a water bottle!

News:

More from Guardiola on Fabregas. The Barca coach says: "Barcelona has made an offer, Arsenal another and we have time until 31 August and we'll try to reach an agreement. There is a sum of money set aside for this signing. We will fight to the end to try to get Cesc because we believe he will improve the team and the squad."

Bets that this drags on till August 31st giving us no time to reinvest? Anyone who thinks we'll be better off without Cesc is deluded.

The fcuking headline doesnt really match up with the story though does it ? I mean the substance of the story says that we are willing to negotiate but that dont mean that we have agreed to sell now does it ? As far as I was concerned we have been negotiating all along.......they bid 27m and we say 45m and so on so in effect nothing has really changed imo

have to agree with augie. its the same now as it was end of season, and no one can tell me that the two clubs have not been talking since then trying to work out a fee.
