After watching last nights game i fear for us, i really do...

Udinese are a decent side, but nothing more, yet they made us look pretty ordinary on our own pitch...The most worrying thing was the amount of possession they had, no matter how lacking or under par we are or have been in recent seasons under Wenger, the one thing we could usually rely on was dominating possession.. This kept a lot of pressure off our sub standard dcm and unreliable defence and also made our wasteful attack less of an issue, but these things will be highlited even more now that we appear to have lost the ability to dominate possession as we use to...

Anyone who was wondering what the loss of Cesc would bring for us, what we have seen so far is what it will bring, an inability to control possession well, to link defence to attack and the vision to play quick killer passes...thats what we have lost...

I think we might just sneak through this tie, but if we don't buy a seriously good replacement for Cesc and at least one other quality player before the deadline, the minute we come up against any good sides we will be found out big time..And not only will we see an early exit in the CL but this will be the season we drop out of the top four of the prem, i've no doubt...

I'm not at all convinced we will. Since Fenerbahce away on Oct. 21st 2008, we have racked up an incredible two wins away in Europe; 3-2 at Standard Liege & 3-1 at Partizan Belgrade  Hardly games against world class opposition either...

Yes... but luckily enough we don't have to win....0-0...1-1..or even a 2-1 loss will be enough, and i think even with the shite we have we will manage one of those...
As i said, Udinese are a decent side, but nothing special ... if they were we would already be out...

back from london. votes (0 to 10):

london 9 - not the usual 10, i'll wait for the olympics to pass to come back again. it's all wrapped and packed. and with "severe delays".

stadium 10 - we dream a home like that.

english pubs 6 - it's the average vote between 10 (beers & comfort) and 2 (why do they close so early? to finish off after the game we ended at the roadhouse in covent garden and they only had heineken or amstel beer: disappointing. good music, anyway).

you supporters 8 - a good crowd. after what i read on this site i didn't expect so many people at the stadium (attendance 59K, arsenal said). no whistles, no boos. well, it helped going 1-0 after just a winkle.

ryanair 4 - twice late. twenty minutes on the runway when we arrived, forty when we leaved. with no explanations. and treated like oxen. my fault, i wanted to save money.

italian railways 5 - you'll try. but on time, this time.

the game 8 - a good game, very muscular, they ran, tackled, passed and missed passes, gave all they had.

english stewards 6 - very rigorous in disciplining the queue. that's good, in italy they don't care a damn. but, why didn't they made us sit down? i had to stand up all the match long and i like to stay comfortable...

jumbo cheese dog, outside the stadium 10 - great and cheap! eat that stuff and you're happy regardless of the score. (liver complaining not allowed)

london pride 10+ - i like it, no explanations required.

Glad you had a good trip mate, your fans were excellent. Unusual to hear that you had to stand but would have preferred to sit, it's the other way around for most of us here...

lolzz... you were all so kind.

but i imagined you'd tell us (them): "sit down!" with a bad face and grim determination. you know, i'm not a chant-all-match-long-without-seeing-a-f*ckin'-sh*t-supporter. i do like to watch the game.
anyway, i'll rise your score to 7. maybe you just thought it was everybody's will to stand up.

I don't get this. Why do people complain about Ryanair? Surely most people know when they book it that they are going to be treated like cattle :?

That said if the fuckers are late Saturday morning someone is going to get it with both barrells

looking forward to our trip to Udine, and can gaurantee no gooners will be sitting

By the way i have 2 spares in the Arsenal end at £18 each if anybody wants them, no names or birth dates on tickets so no worries on that front

Hot dog outside the stadium - cheap and great?!?! Jesus I'd hate to have one outside an Italian stadium!

Good shout on the London Pride. After the black stuff it's my fave too!

(still disturbed by Jayson's comments though!!!!)

i was slightly ironic about the jumbo somewhat-dog. it made me remember some hot-dogs in my youth. we were outside the emirates and all tasted good (and there was an allusion to the liver's complaints ;) ).

about london pride, no jokes at all.

there will be an official welcome for you gooners, the day of the match, in our most representative place.
our sausages are, in general, quite good.
