Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Think he would be a 35 goal a season player in Scotland or The Netherlands.
Reminds me of Hartson.
An arrogant twat I found.

I was in the players lounge after a game once with my lad who was probably 12 at the time. I was sitting at a table with Charlie George chatting when my lad spotted Hartson, Charlie being a nice chap called out to him and pointed at my son who had his pen and a program in hand and sent him over. Hartson, without even making eye contact, took the program signed it and gave it back. No smile, nothing.
Just about every other player chatted to him freely and Ian Wright dragged him away and made a huge fuss of him like his new little pet, taking him wherever he went for about an hour.

After this I found myself making sheep noises at Hartson whenever the opportunity arose.

Good lad, speaking out for the silent majority of Arsenal fans who are desperate to be kept up to date with the excrutiating details of Nicklas Bendtner's progress whilst away from their watchful eyes.

A few renegade gooners on here are obviously trying to belittle and criticise the thread as they are already jealous of the great relationship that has built up over the years between the Arsenal support and the talented, young Bergkampesque, man of the people Nicklas Bendtner and are afraid of this relationship being further strengthened but, as Bendtner represents the hopes for the future of Arsenal, I feel this thread must live for all those with Arsenal in their hearts.

I cannot comment on the rumours that the detractors of this thread are actually in the employ of Marouane Chamakh, the man who would destroy Arsenal by ruining their relationship with Bendtner for his own sick ends, caring not for the future, history or tradition of the club, it would be wrong of me to do so, but you can make your own minds up. If Chamakh stays and Bendtner is forced to leave against the wishes of the vast majority of the Arsenal support, it will signal the start of a reign of darkness. Only Bendtner can bring forth the light and lead you to the title and chase the demon Chamakh from the club, so this thread must live.

Anyway, Bendtner seems likely to start on Saturday, possibly with a strike partner for once, so thats canny like

Funny thing is (in all the wrong ways) Bendtner probably is the future for Arsenal... :(

Well, I've been on the train drinking since 7:30 so my report tonight may suffer inaccuracies but nicklas (who is now the first name a lot of us look for) is set to start. Still not really used to seeing a striker like him playing for us but I'm looking forward to it as always. West brom for fuck sake, he's going to rape these so much they'll think we played bramble upfront (erm, allegedly)

Don't worry Norfolk lad, bits of that post were tongue in cheek
I still rate bergkamp as up there with the best I've ever seen, fucking loved watching him and you're right, bendtners nowhere near him. That being said, you could be a fifth as good as bergkamp and still be quality! Nicks doing well for us, and whilst far from bergkamp is a very good player in his own right, certainly for a side like us
