Beware the Germans are coming

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

how many tickets have Dortmund been allocated tonight anyway?

I reckon it could be crazy outside the ground with thousands of ticketless sausage munchers wandering around.

Not as many as I thought there would be in the clock end. Good to see them get an allocation in the upper tier though (someone else paying top prices!).

To be fair to the BVB fans all the ones I spoke to we're genuinely nice lads and proper football fans

Did anyone see or know what the commotion was about towards the end?
A load of Old bill and stewards at the front of the Dortmund end. Looked like they only pulled two guys out.

Two guys in front of me were ejected about 10 mins into the game for wearing colours & being a bit overly vocal. Had a quick chat with em, they seemed alright if just a bit shocked by the whole English football experience. Was kinda hoping that if they carried on standing, everyone else around us would have to as well. Was potential for good banter there. But of course they were chucked out & we carried on with our theatre atmosphere  :banghead:

Also, the whole "you can stay if you take your scarf off" thing :? What fucking difference does it make?! We all know they're Dortmund fans lol

I swapped my st yesterday for a seat in the Clock, 6 seats away from the Dortmund lower tier. Yes there were Germans everywhere and they werent all covered in Denim!! :D
Seriously though, thats how we should support our team. Being that close to their section had its bonus's like a bit of banter but also seeing what type of fan had travelled. 20/40 year old males who were all commited to singing a drummer lead song. We have too many self concious fans that dont get involved and this may never change, and thats why I like many prefer domestic/European away days. Not everyone who travels with The Arsenal gets involved but the majority do and thats the feeling that appeals. Also our lack of songs is just woeful and as a group of fans we dont adopt any new ones.
With regard to the scuffle in the away end, the police tried to pull 1 fan out then 30 others tried to join in to keep him, all filmed by the Met's finest from 5 yards away.
