Thierry Henry Appreciation Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My greatest fear. Given the fact he has immeasurable cock within the football world and is a bonafide Arsenal legend, he'll be able to placate the fans.

Carragher and Redknapp are in awe of TH14 because he shat all over them on the pitch during his career at THOF. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say about modern day Arsenal and Wenger.

It's sad that the only thing that makes me proud to be a gooner these days is that advert introducing TH14 as the new expert analyst. Ohh how we have fallen from grace.

...and this, in a nutshell, is why many Gooners are now put off posting on this site.

Whatever 'Augie' intended to say has been lost in a spleen-ridden invective, where The Arsenal's top scorer, and second greatest ever player, has been derided as an "arrogant cock". Additionally, it would appear being a youthful fan of the team is worthy of derision as well.

We, as fans, are not hugely popular amongst teams of other clubs in London and the South-East. This sort of thing shows why.

Absolute fucking ly. It's beyond me how even before Henry had said a word how those same wenger haters are now rounding on our greatest ever player. So fucking what if he has a wenger love in fest that's his perogative. This forum is going stale, it's the same coments week after week just getting more nasty and personal.

For any gooner to call Henry an arrogant cock is just a tad hypocrital. It was Henry's brash attituse to his game that we all admired so don't go fucking having a pop at him for being the same as a pundit.

Henry is an absolute legend, a tremendous player and a hero. I certainly wouldn't chuck gratuitous insults in his direction.

But he is going to return in full AKB mode, as if he would have been happy to stick around at his prime praying for a 4th placed finish, and it will ensure that the fans and media remain incredibly sympathetic towards him. He will roll out his sycophantic crap with all this be careful what you wish for bollocks and people will listen. Sky will lap it up and would not be anywhere near stupid enough to rock the boat and ask him pressing questions on our/Wenger's continued dismal weaknesses.

Sadly this is true,as great a player Henry was he is probably the biggest Wenger cultist out there,I would never ever slag Henry off for what he achieved at the club but you know Sky Sports will give him an easy ride over his Wenger stance,I would be interested to see him and Merse having a frank discussion over the current managerial issues.
