Can I just say yet again that walnut is absolute s**t - the doesn't know where to run half the time and we seen yesterday that when he is up against an equally fast opponent he is afraid to take him on and has fcuk all else to offer. I've said before and I'll say again, all the guy can do is run and shoot. Playing him on the wing makes no sense at all. Next season we need to have offloaded Chamakh and Park and have Theo and Podoski as backup to Robin, let Chamblerlain play on the wing then.

Can he dribble past opposition players any better ?

Does he make more of an effort to get involved in games especially when the chips are down ?

Is he worth 75k+ per week ?


I believe that the answers to all these questions is a resounding no, so making throwaway comments about the usual suspects slaughtering him doesnt really apply imo. The ox is still very raw but he can dribble past players, he can cross the ball and most importantly he never stops trying for the team and I would much rather put my faith in the ox for the future than commit financial suicide to a player that will only ever be peripheral in our club

Agree with CC here. Yes, Walcott will never be a 'world-beater' but he's still a decent player and gets far too much stick in my opinion. He never wins headers and doesn't challenge for the ball (from when I've seen him in the flesh) but he does score goals and lays them on for others.

He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't I'm afraid, Arsenal's very own Mr Marmite.

For once in my life I am going to disagree with Augie. Walcott is not Robbie or Freddy but he won the game for us last night. He is a great impact player. For me he should be super sub. Bring him on with 20 mins to go, against a tired FB and create a last minute goal or occupy the defence.

Let's be honest nobody is worth the stupid money footballers get.
