SOUTHAMPTON HOME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

re the soton kit -> 1970's Brazil = same shade of blue on the shorts...Palace had it a few years too.

good result. we're up to third now. Citeh's draw at stoke makes ours up there look reasonable.

Pod is now 2 goals in 4 games and a great free kick. he's started well.

we didn't seem to see any difference in coq swapping for diaby - our midfield looks settled and strong with a core of Arteta, Cazorla and Ox.

i was disappointed that Ches gave away the goal (i would kept mannone in as i said before...) but i understand we need him run in before City and Chelsea, and I would have liked Giroud to start but i reckon he'll start on tuesday against Montpelier where he'll get more time and space and hopefully carry the curse of old strikers coming back to haunt them.

nice to see forehead get a brace and theo one too - i wonder if we'll be singing "anywhere, The Arsenal can score from anywhere...." by the end of the season, as we certainly have that potential around the front and midfield and TV5 from the back.

chelsea were poor today - their fans blamed it on the absence of the spanish walcott (mata) LOL. and that scoreline heavily flattered united from what i saw.

come on Reading tomorrow and Sunderland tonight

Excellent idea but I fear it may get Bouldy the sack by a jealous AW

Just basking in the afterglow of a good performance by us against poor opposition, a 6-1 win, Man Shitty draw, Chelski draw, spag bol, a few stellas, a decent shag.
Fukin good day so far by a gooners standards. Hope the Victims get trounced. :barscarf:

shit you're right - i never thought of that. spuds in bottom three. :barscarf:

i remember a joke from the 1980's - what's the difference between the spuds and the Star of David ?

Star of David has Six points.

boom. boom....

Great result, very disappointed with Soton, expected a much harder game. Nice touch at the end Walcott and Chamberlain go over to the soton fans to applaud them, Arsenal players showing some class.

Didnt bother watching the game through a stream today cos invariably they are shite picture or foreign lingo and I really cant be arsed  Sounds like we played well today which is good news regardless of who the opposition was 8) I can totally understand the disappointment felt by some fans that we conceded today partially cos it is great confidence boost for the players when keeping clean sheets (football wise) but also cos I grew up supporting AFC when our defences ruled the world 8) :barscarf:

Slate me for this if you like but I still stand by my total anger and disgust that giroud was dropped today and then only got 15mins  In my opinion the guy has been doing well enough in the first few games and only needs a goal or two to help him kick on from there and today was a glorious glorious chance to grab that first goal and the CIC decides to axe him  Un-fcuking-believable :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

On my way back, a very happy man!!! Good performances all round bar a shakey Chesney...I posted before the game that I don't think he is ready just yet to be an Arsenal no 1...anyway a nice three points collected and thought we looked dangerous, even Gervinho was causing them problems!!!
Also...is it me or were we much more direct?

I watched a stream and it was first class quality. Wiziwig.tv Great picture.

As for the dropping of Giroud. The 6-1 result tells me it was a good enough decision. I complain enough about the :censored: Wenger without complaining when we win 6-1. :barscarf:
