Montpellier v Arsenal match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cockerill's chin wrote:How can anybody take Baba's claim to have watched Giroud at Montpellier for a year seriously?

The numpty claims to support Arsenal but was unaware Giroud was on the bench when he criticised him partway through the match for not scoring against Southampton

If he doesn't even know when he is on the pitch for the team he claims to support how the f**k can he be an expert for what Giroud did on the pitch for Montpellier
So glad i'm not the only one who thinks this and falls for his BS

First day of secondary school the kid that shouted loudest got the most respect. After a week you realised he was just a kid that shouted. That's Baba.

So what's your point? That Theo is better than Mata? Nope.
no, my point is that you are full of it.

you wanted us to spunk 25 million on your hero Mata, who in his first full season (class players don't need time to settle - your words not mine... ) compared to theo walcott who we already had, scored one less goal and had one more assist.

both players played in the same league in the same year in the same position, so it's a fair comparison.

so you had numerous pops at AW for not buying him and yet he would of added no value last year and so would have been a waste of 25 million quid.

again, its yet another example of your opinion being worthless.

Super Chief Scout Babatunde said we should have signed Marko Marin and Julio Cesar. Cesar who Inter bundled out the door after his incredible fall from grace since winning the european cup.

Luckily i stopped taking him seriously a long time ago. I think it was when he essentially said Eduardo was a poor signing.

I await a sarcastic comment about how little he cares about some internet gooners opinions :-P

Jaysus there are more posts about Baba than about the game. Some of you are obsessed. Block if you don't want to read his posts. For the rest of us it's like watching teenage "gang" members who've fallen out.

Not the best of trips to be honest, Montpellier was a bit of a dump and treated like a criminal as usual in France at the game.

Only positive was the weather and that huge university - i don't think i've seen as many beatutiful young women in the one city!

I think that has to be one of the more basic grounds I have ever visited. Plus on the organized package I am sure the coach driver got lost trying to find Marseilles airport as at over 2 hours into the journey I started thinking we were driving to London instead. It was quicker to fly to Marseilles that the journey to Montpellier.

I am glad the Montpellier fans didn't want a fight after the game, as that dark footpath through the trees the police directed the Arsenal fans through would have been perfect for the home fans to sneak up on unexpecting away fans/through stuff at. I guess with local rivals there have been some fights there before.

Yep! ...same here...it's a bit like when they show formula one car crash....and yuo try not to look knowing full well it is going to be quite some crash...and that's what happen's because eventually he WILL 'Crash & Burn'....and that's nothing to do with other Gooners on here...that's just him...he had a fender bender a while ago....and though we all thought he would learn to drive properly he is still learning to do the MSM routine.

Did you manage to find that path on the way to the stadium? I mistakenly went through the inital home ticket barrier with a few others and ended up having to fight my way through the trees in order to get to the away entrance!

If this forum wants to keep an ounce of credibility then it will ban the cock that is Babutunde. He's no different to previous posters who have been binned.
