Understandably jaded after a difficult game midweek against a very strong montpellier. And then to play an in form villa! How unlucky was that. Thought we showed a lot of character though in such weather.... Important to keep jack fresh for the challenge of bradford which is now less than 3 weeks away!

Pathetic comment.
And more...
When questioned about the substitution, Wenger added: ‘You can discuss every substitution. You think what you want.

‘I do my job and I let people judge it. I do that every day and I do my best every day. I know why I do it.

‘What is the thinking behind the substitution? I will not explain every decision I make, you judge the game for the papers and I sit here and explain to you our game.

‘You are all great managers! I read the newspapers every day and I can tell you that you are always great managers!’

re g88ner's post above...

They're the sort of comments that may ultimately end up being his downfall. The more he trots out that patronising shite the easier it becomes for those who want him gone but don't like the idea of him being hounded out the club to join in those same chants without the guilt that maybe held them back before. Likewise the press may finally stop giving him such an easy ride over his actual performance. A lot of these so-called journalists are jumped-up pricks with over-inflated opinions of themselves and their own football "expertise" anyway so I can’t imagine they'll take too kindly to the put-down either. And once you lose the press that's when things tend to snowball, especially with the amount of fuckwits that cant think for themselves.

"Give them enough rope..."

Every season he becomes more bitter, twisted and stubborn. It's past the point of embarrassment now. Wenger delivered fantastic successes that will never be forgotten and in time all Gooners will look back on with appreciation to him. But his stock has fallen so much it's painful. Comments like these candidly expressing that the fans (and journalists) have no right to query his decisions as they haven't worked for 30 years in football are far more in line with the 'great unwashed' attitude of the board and not the fans. And once a manager who's not delivering on the pitch identifies with and is more keen on impressing the board than the fans then it's a recipe for disaster.

I have always stuck up for Wenger in the face of complete character assassination from some because, despite his managerial failings, he did a lot for the club and did show loyalty when he could have taken other jobs in the early 2000s. But comments like these are beyond disrespectful and are a fucking downright insult to the fans who pay his engorged salary. Fucking tosser.

Arsene I would like you to leave tonight please...

What a shocking performance , made worse by a clueless manager on the sideline. This Villa team are awful, they played a game of looking for cheap frees and all too often got them. Jenk and Kos were all to often conned into giving frees. Simple stand off the man or at least learn from first mistake.. I could go through the usual suspects but it would only repeat what has been said here for the last few years. I texted a mate saying Gervinho has the touch of an elephant..his reply was that I was being very harsh...... on elephants.
Ox was a disappointment, go outside the man please. Thought Mert kept his head above water and I suppose Szczesney for that save deserves a mention. I am so pissed off with this underachieving team. I believe this team are better than this, not title challengers , but better than the dire rubbish of tonight. So the problem is the complacency and indifference in the club. Their version of acceptable achievement is the problem. Manager has lost it completely, he is not getting a response from the players and it has been like this for too long.

Arsene Wenger suffered the wrath of the travelling Arsenal fans as his side could only muster a lifeless 0-0 draw with lowly Aston Villa. Arsene Wenger looks dejected during his side’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa (Picture: Reuters/Action Images) Midfielder Jack Wilshere was forced to watch this evening’s action from the bench as his replacement Aaron Ramsey spurned a multitude of chances, while Wenger substituted striker Olivier Giroud for Francis Coquelin in the closing stages, despite his players chasing the win. This left the Arsenal faithful frustrated by the Frenchman’s team selection and substitutions as their side struggled to break down a resilient Villa defence and they made their feelings clear as they hurled chants of ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’ towards the Gunners’ boss, while repeatedly calling for WIlshere to be introduced to the action. The draw meant Arsenal failed to capitalise on Everton’s 1-1 stalemate with Norwich earlier in the day as the Gunners missed the opportunity to move into the Premier League’s top five. Wenger’s side have now won just one of their last four league outings and they will drop to seventh in the table tomorrow if the match between Tottenham and West Ham doesn’t end in a draw.

Surprise surprise. Another game started by Ramsey, another game we do not get 3 points in which we looked slow to attack and struggled to put anything together in midfield. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE.

I didn't go but watched online. It was just another typical performance of this and recent seasons. We really lack penetration whilst attacking. An over-emphasis on ball retention is resulting in too many sideways and backwards passes and preventing us from taking risks such as trying to play defence splitting balls or simply crossing the ball into the area. Only The Ox seemed to be hungry to take his marker on.

There was a great example of this in the 71st minute. Arsenal broke at pace and Jenkinson ended up having the ball in an advanced position down the right. Rather than take on his opponent (if successful he wouldve been behind their entire defence) he chose to play the ball backwards and then the recipient also played the ball sideways, allowing the entire villa midfield and defence to regain their positions behind the ball. This is just one example of something that happens every game.

Possession means nothing, sooner or later you need to take a risk to score a goal.

Hill "piss the bed" Wood treats us like shit, cone head Gazidis sneers at us every time a microphone is put under his snout, Wal-Mart refuses to speak to us at all and the chief cretin supreme belittles us with each new snide comment.

Arsenal Football Club treat us like shit. No fucking more. Wenger's comments tonight are an utter, utter fucking disgrace. For him to speak about the away support like that shows what type of man he is. The man is a gutter snipe and a shit stain on the proud tradition of The Arsenal.

HOUND HIM OUT.

It's bad enough that Ramsey just looks like a poor player but he seems to have a dismal effect on all those around him too – without making any excuses for their own failings. All fluency and tempo goes out the window when Ramsey's around. He's like that 1 friend everyone has that always brings everyone down with their woe is me attitude, the 1 *word censored* that kills the party dead in his tracks just by walking through the door. The footballing equivalent of Eeyore.

On the ball he's bad enough - slow, laboured passing. But off the ball his movement and positioning are even worse. The number of times he gives the ball to someone & immediately stops as if his job is done instead of offering the man on the ball an option or buying him some space beggars belief. The rest of the time he stands 5, 10 yards from the guy in possession clogging up the space without offering a constructive option. Has anyone regularly sucked the life out of that many footballers since Graeme Le Saux retired? I wanted him to make it but he's had enough chances now. We should really be looking to cut our losses in January.
